NeW evidence collected by UC Berkeley police identifies a currently deceased man as the likely killer of Grace Asuncion, who was found murdered in the campus’s former office of the Pilipino American Alliance (PAA) 24 years ago. the 20-year-old filipina molecular biology student had been stabbed several times in the neck when a custodian discovered her body on february 7, 1992. she had not been raped or robbed, according to police. Attorneys for the victim’s family had suggested a transient may have been the culprit, but recent evidence points to a former Alameda resident, according to a local foX station.
