As the 2018 midterm elections took place on Tuesday, November 6, a number of things quickly became apparent as the counts came in. For one, voter turnout soared above previous years, especially among young voters and women. When it came to the candidates, a record breaking number of 116 women won in their respective races which included 42 being women of color. Looking at the battle for congress, Republicans retained the Senate, while Democrats

AS results from the midterm election trickle in, several races around the country have made history, including in Nevada, which saw several top seats turn blue and will now be represented by two female Senators for the first time. Rep. Jacky Rosen took 50.8 percent of the vote for Nevada’s Senate seat, defeating incumbent Sen. Dean Heller, who received 45.4 percent, according to the Associated Press. Plans to form task force to curb illegal drug trade by AJPRESS PHILIPPINE President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on Tuesday, November 6, revealed that a move to intensify the anti-drug campaigns especially on illegal drug trade is on the works as a task force is about to be issued. “What we have is the moving forward to eradicate illegal drug trade, activate a national anti-illegal drug task force,” the president said during his lecture to the cabinet members at the Aguinaldo State Dining Room.
