The 3-day operation occurred from Sunday, Sept. 23-25 all over the Southland, including the Los Angeles, Orange County and Riverside counties. ICE officials cited sanctuary state laws that prevent “cooperation from local jails” which “is negatively impacting public safety.” According to data provided by ICE, the arrestees included 76 from LA County, 34 in Orange County and 16 in Riverside County. A majority of those in custody — 123 — hail from Mexico, and most of them were men (138 vs 12 women). MANILA — The militaries of the Philippines and the United States have agreed to conduct 281 security cooperation activities next year, the Armed Forces of the Philippines said. This is more than the number of joint activities between the two militaries this year, according to the AFP, without mentioning how many activities were done in 2018. The agreement on more cooperation activities was made as Gen. Carlito Galvez, AFP chief, and U.S. Navy Adm. Philip Davidson, U. S. MANILA – Other matters, including Charter change are sidelined for now as the Philippine government is addressing inflation in the country, Malacañang said on Thursday, September 27.
