INVITATION TO COMMUNION All who are baptized in water in the name of the Trinity and trust Christ as their savior are welcome to come forward for communion regardless of denominational affiliation. Those who don't wish to come forward for communion are welcome to come to the communion rail with their arms crossed to receive a prayer of blessing if they wish.

Ministry of the Week

Annual Parish Dinner Each year, the parish gathers to celebrate another twelve months of blessings and joy in the service of our Lord in this place. This year, our celebration will be Monday, December 2, 2013.

The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. We will gather round the tables between 6-6:45 pm to share a covered-dish supper. New this year‌If your last name begins with A-G bring bread , H-M bring a side dish, N-S bring a meat, and T-Z bring a dessert. Beverages will be provided.

1. The election for Vestry members will be held for four seats (for a three-year term).

2. The election of delegates to the Diocesan Convention will be held for two members.

3. Voting will be held to elect 3 to the Foundation Board.

4. We will also vote to amend the Foundation Bylaws.

5. We will also be voting on our Mission Statement.

6. And lastly to change the Annual Parish Meeting to January of each year in order to present a clearer budget.

Voting will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Nave and you MUST check-in at the table because in order to vote, you must be an active member of Trinity Church.

There are two categories of active membership in Trinity Church: baptized members and confirmed members. A baptized member of Trinity Church is any person who has been baptized with water in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, who has expressed a desire to be a member of Trinity Church, and who has been enrolled as a baptized member of Trinity Church. A confirmed member of Trinity Church is a baptized member who has been confirmed by a bishop in apostolic succession, has expressed a desire to be a member of Trinity Church, and who has been enrolled as a confirmed member of Trinity Church. Active membership requires that the person be regular in attendance in worship, participate and partake of the Holy Eucharist at least three times per year, and be regular in the giving of his time, talents, and financial resources to Trinity Church. Sandra has the list of members eligible to vote.

Announcements All Saint’s Evensong: TODAY!! Sunday, November 3rd 4:00pm Organ Recital, Ashley Sosis 4:30pm Evensong featuring the Trinity Choir The Trinity Church Choir will present an evensong service using the Rite I traditional Anglican liturgy for All Saints Day including a remembrance of the faithful departed. The Evensong will include a prelude recital beginning at 4pm by Ashley Sosis, director of music. A light reception will follow in Gravely Hall.

Mobile Meals: HELP! We are in desperate need of volunteers!

Trinity, in cooperation with other local churches, and Grand Strand Hospital assists with Mobile Meals. The mission of Mobile Meals is to provide a balanced meal five days a week to those in our area who, for whatever reason, cannot provide for themselves. You will spend approximately two hours helping deliver meals from our van. Meet the van at Bi Lo grocery store. Pick up and assist with delivery.

We deliver one week out of every 9 weeks from 9am - 12 noon.

Please let me know if you are available. Give us your phone number and what day you would prefer to deliver. Our delivery area is within the city limits of Myrtle Beach.

The Bookstall Thanksgiving Dinner: Thanksgiving is only 4 weeks away and it is time to get teams in order for the Wednesday noon Thanksgiving meal. This is an annual, traditional event where we can join together in fellowship, thanksgiving for blessings, and a delicious meal. It is especially nice for those who do not have family in town with whom to celebrate and are not traveling. For those with family coming into town, it would be a wonderful experience to work together on this event or just with yourselves and other willing, giving parishioners. We've been blessed by Betty Anne Mills, a fabulous cook who cooked all eleven dinners for Alpha several years ago, to "captain" the meal. We have a need for helper cooks for turkeys and gravy; set up; helpers during the meal to refill beverages, plastic and paper goods; someone to decorate a bit for the holiday in Gravely Hall. We will eat at 12:30 pm on Wed., Nov. 27 th in Gravely Hall. Please bring a side dish to share. Please let us know how you would like to volunteer your services for this noonday meal. Christmas Giving Opportunity: We are once again partnering with SCYAP (South Carolina Youth Advocacy Program) to bless severely abused or abandoned children who are now in foster homes and the families they are living with. There is an Angel Tree in the Narthex that has Angels on it with the names of children and a 'wish list' of five things. You can pick one or more children and select one or more items from their wish list; it is whatever works for your family. Gifts are due back on December 1. If you would like to have your child or youth participate in the Christmas Eve Family Service at 5:30pm, please sign up today on the poster in the Narthex or email Melissa at trinityfamilyministry@gmail.com Music Reading Class with Mrs. Janet Haigh: Mrs. Janet Haigh, a member of Trinity’s St. Augustine Choir and a local voice teacher, and Ashley Sosis, our Music Director, will teach music reading classes: (beginner and intermediate levels) in the choir rehearsal room on Sunday afternoons, directly after the 11am Eucharist (roughly 12:20-1pm). The class is free and open to all beginning music readers who wish to improve their music reading skills.

A Children’s Choir Update: The St. Cecilia Children’s Choir is off to a great start! We are heading into our fourth rehearsal this coming week. Children’s Choir is for students grades 3-5. New students are welcome, but they will have to work hard to catch up with our current choristers.

Youth Choir is Happening! Exciting news! We are able to add one more choir to our musical offerings at Trinity, a choir for students 6th grade-10th grade. It will follow the Royal School of Church Music curriculum, like the St. Cecilia Choir. The rehearsal day and time will be determined by participating families, though Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Sundays are preferred by the students who have already shown an interest in joining the group. The Youth Choir will draw from widely varied genres of Sacred Music to sing once a month at various church services throughout the year. Youth Group On Sundays: The youth will gather at Trinity Church from 5 - 7pm. We will have food, fellowship, worship, discipleship, prayer and games. Come and bring a friend!

Rite I Returns to 11am Eucharist: The church begins a new liturgical year every year on the first Sunday of Advent. To mark the new year, Trinity will bring back something old at the 11am Eucharist-- the beautiful Rite I text. This coming Advent (Sunday, December 1st-Sunday, December 22nd) and this Lent (March 9th-April 13th) the 11am Eucharist will use the Rite I text. All other Sundays (Christmas, Epiphany, Sundays after Epiphany, the Season of Easter, and the Season after Pentecost) we will use the Rite II text. Mark your calendars and start practicing your Rite I responses for December 1st!

2013 Chancel and Chapel Flower Open Dates: There are many open dates for both the Chancel and the Chapel flowers in 2013. The Chapel is open for Nov. 10, 24. If you are interested, please contact Tracy at the church office 448-8426.

Trinity Learn & Play: Did you know Trinity has a Preschool? Trinity Learn and Play program hours are 9:00am-12:00pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Enrollment is open for children ages 2,3 and 4. Men's Bible Studies Offered: A Bible study, Gospel Centered Life, meets every Wednesday morning from 7am-8am in Gravely Hall. A Bible study also meets every Thursday morning at 7:30 am at Croissants at 38th.

Prayer Shawl Ministry: The Prayer Shawl Ministry will meet on Wednesdays at 3pm in the parlor. Yarn will be available in the Parlor wicker chest if you need it for a shawl. There are shawls that are finished and are available to be given to those who need them. Please see Pastor Bruce to request a shawl. If you have any questions, please call Dan Farley at 712-2979.

Pastoral Care at Trinity: It is of greatest importance that you contact the church if you are ill or in the hospital. "In case of illness, the Minister of the Congregation is to be notified." Book of Common Prayer (BCP) p. 453. Current privacy laws do not allow the hospital to contact the clergy or to release names of patients. The only way that the church will know of your hospitalization is if you, or a friend or family member, call the Parish Office to alert us. Also please notify us if a family member or a friend is in need of prayer or a pastoral call. Thank you for helping us help you. In case of an emergency, please call 1843-343-1777 and one of the clergy will respond. Please add this number to your cell phones.

Please Wear Your Name Tag!: Trinity is blessed by having beautiful name tags that have been crossstitched and laminated for long life. Indeed, they will last a very long time if they just sit in the rack, never being handled or pinned onto clothing! New members find it very helpful to put names with faces, and visitors welcome such an effort on their behalf. As Trinity attracts more new families and individuals, it is most important that all parishioners wear their nametags each Sunday. If you have lost or misplaced your nametag, or you do not have one yet, please notify Elise Reed.

Tea on Tuesday: Here is a chance to get to know some of the folks you see at church on Sunday mornings. Once a month there will be tea at Trinity in the parlor hosted by Caroline McKee from 2:303:30. Please bring a small portion goody to share. Tea will be provided. The next tea is scheduled for November 19th . Looking forward to getting to know you better. Caroline McKee 449-3629 New Members/Confirmation Classes: Classes will be on from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm on the following Sundays in 2014: January 19, 26, Feb. 2, 9, 16, & 23. You are welcome to attend this class if you have been coming to Trinity for years or for only one Sunday. Those who complete these classes will be welcomed into the church when the Bishop visits Trinity in June 2014.

Volunteers Needed: Volunteers are needed for patients in hospice care. Caris Healthcare provides hospice to those facing life limiting illnesses. Volunteers provide an array of services to patients and their families. From spending brief quality time with patients to cooking a meal; no amount of assistance is too small.
