Feng Shui is a Chinese philosophy that involves arranging objects in living areas to achieve harmony with nature. It is based on mindfulness, slowing down, and noting the details of your life to fully experience the present moment. The idea is to harness life force energy and create a balance between a person and their surroundings.

HOW TO GIVE YOUR HOME A GOOD FENG SHUI? When it comes to establishing proper Feng Shui in your home, it can be difficult to know where to begin. Which rooms should you start with first?

EARTH The element of Earth is related to earthy colors like brown, orange, or yellow and the Feng Shui Bagua areas of Abundance, Health and Knowledge.

WATER The element of Water is related to dark colors like black and very dark blue and the Feng Shui Bagua area of Path in Life. Water also has the qualities of fluidity, wisdom and intelligence.

Feng Shui energy is said to enter the house through the front door. The front entrance, whether it has a foyer or is just a doorway, should always be clean and properly maintained.

DE-CLUTTER AND CLEAN. Begin by clearing out the area and replacing any blown bulbs or dead plants. Oil the door and make sure it's clean and quiet. There should be no obstructions in the way of the ‘chi' flowing freely inside the dwelling, such as furniture or stairways.

BRIGHTEN THE ENTRY. Lighting is necessary at the front door area because it unveils the fire element. When we allow in more light, our spaces become more broad, vibrant, and lively.

OPEN THE FLOW OF QI. Always make sure that the path to your front door is clear. No obstacles and make sure that the doorbell is easy to find and use.

CARE FOR YOUR FRONT DOOR. Make sure everything is in working order. There should be no difficulties opening the door.

FRONT DOOR CHALLENGES. Remove any sharp or pointed objects directed toward the front door and watch out for some architectural details that create Feng Shui challenges.

Doing this will create a positive experience for visitors, especially your clients.

PLACE YOUR DESK IN A POWER POSITION. Your desk must be in command because it represents your career. You should be able to see the entrance to your cubicle or the office while seated at your desk, without being directly in line with the entrance area. Being in command at your desk represents being in control of your career, a broader view of possibilities and opportunities that are available to you.

REFRIGERATOR. Keep food fresh and remove all old or stale items promptly.
