The sculpture garden includes an office, viewing room, cafe, and dining room. Stereotomic and techtonic elements blend together. The experience of lighting and shadows became a feature underneath the stairs and inside the hallway to the dining room. Bathrooms are tucked away inside the earth.
Circulation outside the building draws you upward in a spiral. The windows speak the same language and create an openess and invitation of light. Residents can work in private as well as in company. The architecture inspires innovation and thought as residents study.
