It’s been a few years since I crossed paths with you. It’s probably been five or maybe just two. I think of you often and the life that we shared and your knowledge of horses that were wild and scared. You’d take in those lost ones that were tossed to the side, Those ones that the trainers said they’d never ride. You didn’t study their papers or searched where they’d been You’d look into their eyes to feel what they’d seen. I remember watching you each day you as you were filled with such zealous And to tell you the truth I became outright jealous. Those horses you saved came between you and I It was an affair that you were in - I couldn’t break if I try. The day that I left I felt I should turn around But I knew in my heart your love would never be found. It’s the blood in your veins and the love for a horse A gift you’ve been blessed with from a Heavenly source. I know that it’s Christmas and we miss those close to the heart But would you mind if I visit and we try again from the start?

FLIGHTLINE FARM ARABIANS Times have been challenging for everyone, this pandemic has kicked the fun out of most things. We carry on by planning a few activities that generate positivity for the future. The Halloween stall decorating contest is behind us and was loads of laughs. We all embrace the opportunity to express our creative side! Flightline Farm Arabians was named the first AHA Discovery Farm in British Columbia. We are pleased to be part of the network promoting Arabian horses and introducing new folks to this wonderful community. In support of the Arabian horse, we have been working with owners and breeders helping them market their beautifully bred horses. This has been a very successful venture. A photo shoot for the barn family was organized by Alycia; an instructor who coaches youngsters at the farm. This was coupled with a hotdog BBQ for all to enjoy. Always a good time when horses, people and food collide! Collecting “Coats for Kids” is a wonderful event for the holiday season. The gathering of lightly used clean winter wear for those in need. Over one hundred layers of warmth have been donated in past years. All in time for Christmas! There will be several foals coming next year, all sired by local stallions. Watch for their arrival and be sure to reach out to arrange a time to visit these beauties! Stay positive and safe! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
