DISNEY RETAIL RENOVATION A retail location on the Walt Disney Imagineering Campus is undergoing a full renovation to update the store and tie it in with the updates occuring on the rest of the campus. The location has not been updated in about ten years, and the company wanted a full redesign of the space. The design derives its many textures and materials from nature, a theme found throughout the surrounding Green Space. The intention of the design is to bring the outside in in such a way that nature can “grow with the merchandise� without inhibiting it. The finishes and materials all reflect those found in nature such as natural wood and stone, and the fixture displays are designed to resemble garden carts to carry the merchandise throughout the store. Overall, the design is an upated version of the space that brings the outside in and ties in with the rest of the Imagineering campus.
