Hanover County announces Ashland Train Day 2020 canceled due to COVID-19 ‘Spirit of Volunteerism’ week Downtown Ashland Association looks ahead to Ashland Train Day 2021 Staff Report news@mechlocal.com ASHLAND – As the nation continues to battle the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Town of Ashland recently announced that the deadly illness has forced organizers to cancel Ashland Train Day. Director Maggie Beal Longest said the Downtown Ashland Association “sadly reports that Ashland Train Day 2020 is canceled. This was a difficult decision for the Board of Directors, but one we feel is a necessary precaution in the face of COVID-19.” The change in plans has not dampened the excitement of the board, as well as town residents and train enthusiasts from all directions. “We look forward to hosting a stellar Ashland Train

Fees may be reduced if individual lot stormwater management devices are implemented and a maintenance agreement and performance bond are in place. The fee reduction will be proportional to the quantity and quality of runoff mitigated by the device as determined by established

Virginia standards. 2. Subdivision of 5 lots or less, the owner shall pay $5,000 per lot prior to subdivision approval or implement alternative discussed in Sec 4.110.2(c). The fees are as follows: 1. Single-family home (not part of larger subdivision or plan of development) and new accessory buildings/facilities 1. Payment of $1,000 for up to 1,000 square feet of impervious area, plus $1 per additional square foot of impervious area. Impervious areas are areas covered by water-resistant materials such as buildings (house, garage, accessory building, etc.), decks, patios, pools, driveways, and walkways.
