A week on from dairy farm worker Tony Grant Waldron being found in his bed with fatal injuries by a colleague, police are urging anyone who may have information for their enquiries to come forward. The National Police Dive Squad have been called in as police look to fish out more evidence. Detective senior sergeant Richard Quested, who is leading the investigation, confirmed the scene examination had been completed at the property
where Waldron was found and that an examination was still ongoing at a second property yesterday. “The Police National Dive Squad is working with our police specialist search team. They have recovered a significant amount of information and exhibits, which are being assessed,” he said. The squad has been working in effluent and irrigation ponds at a nearby dairy farm attempting to locate evidence. “A message to the community out there: Tony was a husband and father
of two young girls, who have lost their dad,” he said. “Someone out there has the key to this inquiry and knows something that can help us. Come forward and tell us what they know so we can solve this for Tony and his family.” Quested said they still believe there is no threat to the public and that this was an isolated incident and that it was not a random attack.
