Hi, my name is Ali Ashgar
I’m a graphic designer and illustrator based in Jakarta, Indonesia. I have a strong passion in graphic design in general and illustration with more than 8 years working experience in creative industry.
I consider myself as a meticulous,self-motivated and persistent worker. I can easily adapt and socialize myself into a new milieu, never hesitate to collaborate with any colleagues from any background and i’m willing to face new challenges. I have good capability in teamwork, self-confident, responsible, and target-oriented.
I have 4 years experience of being a graphic designer and 4 years of being a lead/senior graphic designer, and it is a manifest evidence that I can prove myself to be reliable professional. Working through the years on creative industry has changed my perspective on how to be creative.

Collection 2019
Lookbook Design



Lookbook i made for Monstore’s S/S 2020 called “Seasons in a Dream”. This collection is presented at LIBERTY FAIRS 2019 in Las Vegas.

In this collection we’d like to combine and merge the aesthetic of photography and French surrealism poetry.

This collection talks about human society, romantic experiences, memories, places, human behaviour, and the meaning of life.


As one of streetwear representation from Indonesia, Monstore wants to share their passion and creativity in fashion and art. Bringing the idea of wearable art into the community.





GOURMET
“OMNICORE came from OMNIVORE, that means the ability to eat and survive on both plant and animal matter.”
Within OMNICORE, they want to educate that being on a diet or maintaining bodyweight could be fun and doesn’t have to avoid on certain foods, the aim is to eat healthy delicious food with calculated calories.”





Packaging Design

Omnicore Gourmet wants to represent its healthy lifestyle through their packaging, with catchy colorway and simple yet informative. The illustration brings a bit fun into it, so just like their catchphrase, “Being healthy could be fun!”.

The Lapan Square is a Creative Compound Space located in Bintaro, South Tangerang. They started as a communion of creative studios.


During the time, the place is expanding organically, the place consists of container o ces, dining area, meeting room and recreational space.

The festival upholds one of the most consequential values that Indonesia possesses; diversity. A wide spectrum of sub-genres under the dance music category are given a platform through the multiple stages in the festival, one of them being the bird-shaped main stage called ‘Garuda Land’ inspired by the country’s coat of arms, Garuda Pancasila.
Monstore is fortunate enough to take a part of this big festival as their O cial Merchandise partner since its first campaign in 2010.
Garudabot, as their icon and epitome through the years, the symbol of our beautiful country now can be seen on their main stage every year.
The pattern represents the diversity of our country and the magnificence of living amongst it.

WE THE FEST
2018-2023
We The Fest is an annual summer festival of music, arts, fashion and food taking place in Indonesia’s capital of Jakarta.

Since its inaugural edition in 2014, the festival has seen incredible performances from globally-known acts of di erent genres including Lorde, SZA, Dua Lipa, Ellie Goulding, Big Sean, Odesza, The 1975, Phoenix, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, CL, The Temper Trap and many more.
Monstore is fortunate enough to take a part of this big festival as their O cial Merchandise partner since its inaugural edition in 2014.
Being fun, dreamy, and celebrating life at its finest is the main key of every We The Fest merchandise graphics, as the youth spirit could be seen on every illustrations.



As a one of big summer festival in south east asia, WTF is not only known for their stellar line-ups, but also the vibes and the experiences during the installment.
The gorilla is one of their main mascots through the year. People could be seen roaming around in groups underneath twinkling lights and interacting with the festival mascots, including a banana, a gorilla, a killer clown, and the other mascots.
Colorful, is one of the keywords that represent this festival, being showered by colorful strobe lights is a must when you are at the festival.





COMFORT SUNGROUND by MONSTORE
Merchandise Design 2021
Released in 2021, this colection brought the messages of Increasing the conscious of preciousness of life, the matchless significance of spending time with the people we love, work–life balance, personal taste, and increasing self-su ciency.
On this collection, Monstore is sending a message to the audience, that during bad times, there will be light on the other side of the road. This is the collection that came out during the pandemic in 2021.

The collection is about how the internet has changed the way we interact with our family, friends, and life partners. While some forms of technology may have made positive changes in the world, there is evidence for the negative e ects of technology and its overuse, as well.

We want to make a packaging that brings exciting experience when the package arrived, from its unique illustration, and the color, brings the better impression for the brand.
