Announced for Matt Pierce’s 2026 Rally Comeback

Oswestry Life Magazine is delighted to announce the sponsors supporting local rally driver Matt Pierce as he makes his return to competitive rallying in the 2026 season. After several years away from the sport, Matt is preparing for a development year aimed at refining his car, re-establishing his competitive pace, and building momentum ahead of a full championship campaign in 2027.

Matt will be racing a modernspec Mk2 Escort, producing around 300bhp, fully wrapped in the bold colour scheme of LA.CE Carpentry and Crane Hire, promising a striking presence at rallies across the UK and Europe. “It will look absolutely stunning – watch this space!” says Matt. Supporting his campaign as the main supporting sponsor is D Powell Plumbing & Heating, alongside KCS Trade and LJ Electrical & Security, providing a

to share exciting news about the next chapter of its journey. To meet increasing demand, the business is expanding into a new unit in Oswestry, which will serve as the main hub for wholesale production and provide a collection point for Oswestry customers with also a counter shop.

This move comes as the team prepares to close its Black Gate location in April 2026. Due to the size limitations and ongoing issues associated with the 400-year-old building, which is also now up for sale, Adam and Samantha have made the strategic decision to relocate to a more practical, modern facility that can fully accommodate their growth.

solid foundation of local business backing.

Matt will be joined for the season by long-standing co-driver and previous historic champion Jez Rogers, bringing a wealth of experience and proven rally success to the team. The pair are set to compete across England, Wales, the Isle of Man, and Belgium, showcasing Matt’s iconic Mk2 Escort, which remains a fan-favourite and media magnet, ensuring strong visibility for all sponsors.

Born and raised in Oswestry, Matt began his motorsport journey at just 13 years old and has

“We are absolutely over the moon,” said Adam and Samantha. “Winning these awards is a huge honour, and the support we continue to receive from our community and wholesale partners is incredible. Expanding into our new Oswestry unit marks a major milestone for us, giving us the space and practicality we need to grow and continue delivering the quality we’re known for across the UK.”

competed at grassroots, clubman, and national levels, including the prestigious Manx National Rally. Known for his controlled yet committed driving style, Matt’s return promises exciting rally action and a high-profile platform for the businesses supporting him.

Oswestry Life Magazine will also act as official media partner for the season, providing extensive coverage through print, digital, and social media channels to highlight Matt’s journey and the brands backing him.

David Lee-Birch, Director of DTS Media Limited (Oswestry Life Magazine), said, “We’re delighted to support Matt as he returns to rallying. His passion, skill, and connection to the local community make him a perfect ambassador for Oswestry. We look forward to showcasing his journey and the brands backing him throughout the 2026 season.”

With a focus on rebuilding pace, refining the car, and creating momentum, Matt’s 2026 season promises thrilling rally action and strong exposure for his sponsors ahead of a fully competitive championship push in 2027.

Oswestry Christmas Parade back on track once more

There was a fantastic turnout for the Oswestry Christmas Parade on the first Saturday of December, with nearly forty floats and thousands of festive merrymakers crowding the streets. The early-morning rain cleared up, and even a few light showers later on did not dampen the enthusiasm.

Jonathan Jones, who organises the parade on behalf of the Borderland Rotary Club, said, “It’s been great to be back on the streets of Oswestry after last year’s disappointment, and it never fails to amaze me how people enter

into the spirit of the event and how generous they are. I’d like to thank all the local Rotarians for helping make the parade possible, everyone involved with the floats including the wagon drivers and hauliers and of course – the public, who show us that the parade is really worthwhile. And don’t forget, all the

The Networking Skills Training Day for its final year pupils was part of Oswestry School’s Futures Fortnight and was funded by the Old Oswestrian Society.

Members of the Upper Sixth were then able to put their training into practise in a networking event with members of the local business community and the school’s alumni.

Anna Evans, Oswestry School’s Development and Fundraising Manager, said the training day with Ruth had

given the pupils a dynamic boost in planning their future careers. “From confident introductions to meaningful professional conversations, our pupils embraced the training and gained new skills which were later put to the test at a networking event at the school.

“We are especially pleased that over 20 volunteers from the local business community and the school’s alumni community gave up their time to chat and network with pupils. Events such as these showcase the practical skills that our community can provide for our younger generation,” she said.

Ruth Martin, who is based in Oswestry, added that the day had given her a real insight into the need for practical training in business skills. “These are business skills that are needed in every walk of life. Oswestry School must be congratulated for recognising the need to prepare their students with business and networking knowledge for the future alongside their academic studies,” she said.

Oswestry bid: Celebrating a year of achievement and growth

As 2025 draws to a close, Oswestry Business Improvement District reflects on a year of achievement, partnership, and support for local businesses. From national awards to community events, it has been a year that put Oswestry on the map.

Triple Gold Blooms Across the Town

Oswestry celebrated a triple success at the Heart of England in Bloom Awards: Gold in the Best Large Town category, Gold for Cae Glas Park, and a Services to Heart of England in Bloom Award for Natalie Bainbridge, Chair of Oswestry in Bloom.

BID supported this through seasonal planting, maintaining Church Street planters, and establishing business sponsorships, increasing funding and involvement.

Building Business Networks

In September, BID launched a Business Networking initiative at the Wynnstay Hotel. The relaxed format encouraged valuable conversations among business owners from the town centre, industrial estates, and surrounding areas.

The positive response has led to plans for another event in early 2026, creating ongoing opportunities for businesses to connect, share knowledge, and collaborate.

Safety, Security and Community Protection

The Street Rangers continue to make a visible difference, reducing anti-social behaviour and retail crime, while reassuring businesses, staff, and visitors. With Home Office Hot Spots Programme funding, the service has expanded to offer stronger protection across the town.

Working closely with West Mercia Police and local partners, the Rangers patrol daily, supporting businesses and helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

BID’s nightly security patrols protect more than 129 businesses across the industrial estates three times per night throughout the year. This consistent presence strengthens security and may help businesses achieve reduced insurance premiums.

BID’s expanding public-access defibrillator network provides life-saving coverage, with volunteer First Responders ensuring devices are regularly checked and maintained.

Essential Business Training and Advocacy

Throughout 2025, BID delivered a wide-ranging training programme with more than 100 participants. From Emergency First Aid to social media marketing and specialist industrial-estate sessions, BID ensured free, high-quality training tailored to business needs.

BID also monitors planning applications that could impact the trading environment. This year, submissions were made on three proposals, raising concerns about heritage, residential amenity, and commercial vitality.

A Festival Calendar to Remember

Events across 2025 brought colour, energy, and increased footfall. The Street Circus entertained families with live performances, while The Beach transformed Festival Square into a pop-up seaside attraction. BID also supported Nightingale House Hospice’s Oswestry Balloon Carnival and the volunteer-led Community  Games in Cae Glas Park.

A refreshed partnership with Oswestry Town Council strengthened the Oswestry Food & Drink Festival with new branding, a Family Fun Day, and expanded seating. More than 500 promotional tote bags filled with business offers and Business Directories were distributed, creating valuable marketing opportunities and promoting local enterprises.

Collectively, these events enhance Oswestry’s reputation as a vibrant destination while supporting a positive trading environment for businesses across the town.

Looking Ahead to 2026

With social media engagement and delivery across key objectives, BID remains committed to making Oswestry an even better place for business. As 2026 approaches, BID looks forward to new initiatives, expanded partnerships, and supporting a thriving local economy.

What is Oswestry BID?

Oswestry Business Improvement District is a business-led initiative funded by a 1.75% levy on businesses with a rateable value over £12,000. BID works to improve the trading environment, support growth, enhance safety and security, and promote Oswestry as a great place to visit and do business. Walk with a Doc – it’s free and good for your health!

Oswestry based Dawn Milner tells Oswestry Life why the local community should join Walk with a Doc events and how they will benefit physical and mental health.

“I first found out about Walk with a Doc at an international conference on Nutrition in Medicine in Washington DC . A group of us went for an early morning walk around the National Mall on a humid July day. The location was stunning but also it was so good meeting and chatting to some of the walkers.

“Back home, I contacted Dr Sue Smith who had been running a group on the Wirral since 2018. I went on one of her walks round Birkenhead Park and was inspired to start a group in Oswestry. I’m retired now having been a GP at Plas Fynnon Medical Centre and also worked at the Department of Health,” says Dawn.

This walking group is different: the four components of it are exercise, social connections, being out in nature and health promotion.

Walk with a Doc was started in 2005 by a cardiologist Dr Sabgir in Columbus Ohio. He invited 100 of his patients to join him in a walk knowing how this simple exercise would benefit their health. This was the basis of a movement that has spread around the world and is now serving 600+ communities in 40+ countries. There are 26 chapters in the UK.

People of all ages, fitness levels and backgrounds are welcome to these free monthly events. After a brief talk on a health topic, the rest of the time is spent walking and chatting!

Walking is one of the most important things we can do for our health. It’s good for the heart, brain, bones, lungs, muscles, and joints. It helps maintain a healthy weight and reduces the risks of cardiovascular disease and stroke, helps to regulate blood pressure and

cholesterol and prevent and manage type 2 diabetes.

Dawn is excited to bring this to Oswestry and believes it will enhance the sense of community in our town. “Although initially the one hour session is monthly, in time, with the help of new walk leaders we may introduce extra outings. New members and other health care providers are invited to join the group.”

The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month, 10.30am at Cae Glas Park gates. The motto is educate, exercise, empower!

Ring the Changes with Bellringing

Tradition Meets Modern Wellbeing

Bellringing is one of Britain’s oldest living traditions, but it’s far from oldfashioned. Step into a tower and you’ll discover a hobby that blends physical exercise, mental challenge, and community spirit. And in Oswestry, the bells of St Oswald’s Church carry centuries of history that make the experience even more special.

A Workout in Disguise

Controlling bells weighing hundreds of kilos is no small feat. Bellringing builds strength, improves posture, and gets the heart pumping. Some ringers describe it as ‘exercise without the gym’, a way to stay active while enjoying the rhythm of the bells.

Sharpening the Mind

Beyond the ropes, bellringing is a mental workout. Ringers learn complex sequences called “methods,” which demand concentration, memory, and rhythm. It’s like solving puzzles in motion, keeping the brain sharp and engaged.

The Bells of St Oswald’s, Oswestry

St Oswald’s Church has a proud bellringing tradition. The tower currently houses eight bells, with the oldest dating back to 1717.

Over the centuries, the bells have been recast and rehung to improve their sound and reliability. In 1890, a major restoration saw several bells replaced, and further work in the 20th century ensured the ring remained one of Shropshire’s finest.

The bells are not just instruments they’re part of Oswestry’s identity. They’ve marked weddings, funerals, national celebrations, and local events for generations. For many, the sound of St Oswald’s bells is the heart of the town.

Community and Connection

Bellringing is as much about people as it is about bells. Towers like St Oswald’s welcome newcomers, offering training and encouragement. Ringers often describe the friendships they form as one of the greatest rewards of the hobby.

About The St Oswald Ringers

At St Oswald’s, our ringer’s range in age from 11 years old upwards,

proving that bellringing is truly a hobby for all generations. We come from all walks of life; students, professionals, retirees, and everything in between but what unites us is a shared passion for the sound and tradition of bellringing.

It’s this love of ringing that brings us together week after week, creating a team that thrives on friendship, teamwork, and the joy of keeping a centuries-old tradition alive.

Why Try It?

Bellringing combines physical fitness, mental challenge, and social connection, all wrapped in centuries of tradition. At St Oswald’s, you’re not just learning a skill; you’re joining a living history, helping to keep the sound of Oswestry’s bells ringing out for future generations.

Future Focus

We would like to add two modern “training bells” to make teaching new ringers easier. This should be particularly good for younger and lighter people to get the basics of bell handling before moving on to the real, 200kg bells. This project will cost us over £7,000 so we are busy fundraising!

Take Control of Your Weight & Wellbeing in 2026

Just over 19 years ago, Claire Morris was at her lowest point. After receiving fertility treatment and finally having a beautiful baby boy, you’d think she’d have been happy. But her weight was spiralling out of control and having tried everything to lose it on her own, she plucked up the courage to join Slimming World. She found that she could still eat all her favourite foods with the Food Optimising plan but just cooking them in a different way and having a support network to help her learn new habits around food.

She started to become more active too, with Slimming Worlds unique activity programme and has since gone on to run marathons and climb mountains, including Rainbow Mountain in Peru.

In 2012, after losing 8 stone, Claire became a Slimming World consultant and has been running successful groups since, helping members change their lives forever. She says it’s humbling to watch these members grow in confidence and see them changing lifelong habits to healthy new ones.

If you’d love to lose weight in a healthy and sustainable way, Claire’s groups are in the Eastern Oswestry Community Centre, Cabin Lane on Thursdays (from January 8th) at 5.30pm and 7pm, Fridays at 9am and 10.30am and Saturdays at 7.30am, 9am and 10.30am.

Minutes with the MP

I hope you are looking forward to a wonderful break and to spending time with loved ones if you can. The festive season can sometimes pass by in a blur. Then suddenly, January arrives - and for many, it can feel like a stark contrast. The decorations are packed away, the days are still short and dark, and spring feels a long way off.

It’s easy to see why January has a reputation for being a bleak month. But I think it’s also a time of opportunity. After the rush of December, there’s something reassuring about returning to normality and routine. It gives us space to quietly reflect, plan, and appreciate the slower pace. A crisp winter walk, a chat with a neighbour, or connecting with the community around you - these small moments matter.

If anything, time moves too quickly. Before we know it, the snowdrops will be out, then Easter, then summer. So, let’s not wish January away - let’s

embrace the season we’re in and take things one step at a time.

For me, early January will mean heading back to Westminster after the holiday recess. Parliament will be back in full swing, and I’ll be ready to get stuck in fighting for the issues that matter most to Oswestry and North Shropshire. From improving access to healthcare and supporting our farmers, to making sure rural communities have the infrastructure they need, these priorities remain at the heart of what I campaign for each and every day.

I know the challenges facing our area won’t disappear with the turning of the calendar, but neither does our determination to tackle them. My focus next year is to continue striving for practical solutions and making sure your voices are heard loud and clear in Parliament.

If you have concerns or ideas as we head into the New Year, please do get in touch. I’m sure that together we can make great strides for North Shropshire in 2026.

Road trip tips

The Net Vet’s Dr Alex Crow and Porsche advise on keeping dogs safe and comfortable in the car.

Start with familiarity

To get them used to travelling, Dr Alex suggests “putting dogs in the car on the driveway for a few minutes before taking them out and giving them a treat”. He then recommends building up to short drives of under five minutes.

Secure dogs properly

A loose dog in a vehicle is dangerous and could result in a £5,000 fine and nine penalty points. “Also, it can be very distracting to the driver of the car,” adds Dr Alex.

Luckily, there’s a broad range of harnesses, boxes and dedicated options, including a Porsche-specific inflatable luggage compartment box for dogs.

Make journeys comfortable

“If you’re doing a long journey, make sure you’re

stopping every half an hour to an hour,” says Dr Alex. Pack plenty of water and a bowl. While drivers should always avoid leaving their pet in the car in summer, they should also think before cranking up their car’s heating in winter if travelling with a dog.

Drive smoothly

It’s all about “smooth driving and smooth corners”, says Dr Alex, who recommends “gradual braking and avoiding sudden stops”. Try to avoid twisty roads or tight lanes, which can cause travel sickness in dogs.

Choose a dog-friendly destination

Ensuring there are places where your dog can walk about is important. “If it’s a hotel, make sure that they’re dog-friendly,” says Dr Alex.

Football club charity signs lease for community building

The charity linked to Oswestry’s TNS football club has signed the lease to officially take on the management of a valuable community building in the town.

The New Saints FC Foundation has signed the documents with Oswestry Town Council to oversee the running of The Centre building in Oak Street.

The building has been re-named The Centre Spot and is already thriving as a hub for youth and community activities with plans to build on this with a variety of programmes tackling physical and mental health.

The early aims for the centre are to provide youth clubs/drop-ins, play therapy, youth engagement through sport, youth music production and a space for collaborative working, with lots more ideas in the pipeline.

Gill Jones of The New Saints FC Foundation said the existing organisations based at the building including the OsNosh community food programme and St John’s Ambulance Brigade would continue to use the Oak Street building.

There are also plans for new organisations and activities to come on board making use of all The Centre Spot’s facilities including its music studio and the multi-use games area next to it.

“Our role in taking on the overall management from Oswestry Town Council will help to safeguard the future of the building and its facilities for the community of Oswestry and particularly for its young people.

“We are looking forward to working alongside all partner organisations including the current occupants and new groups to ensure that the building continues to be a resource for young people and the wider community,” she said.

The building, built by Shropshire Council on the site of the old youth building previously known as Centre North West, was opened in 2012 as a state-of- the-art youth centre.

It became the victim of countywide public spending cuts and was taken over by Oswestry Town Council in August 2024. It will now be managed by The New Saints FC Foundation which has ambitious plans for the centre to complement its range of youth and sport activities across northwest Shropshire.

Activities include a Wednesday evening youth club in partnership with Shropshire Youth Association and a Tuesday youth café drop in. There are also Footie Families – Minis sessions for children aged 2 – 4 and All In activities for young people with

special educational needs, together with a Friday Games Morning.

The building will also be designated a ‘Warm Welcome Hub’ thanks to support recently confirmed from Marches Energy Agency.

OsNosh is relaunching its community care and food share table on Fridays and these are complemented by a Foundation Friday Games Morning – open to all ages. Obertelli Play Therapy will also still be based at The Centre Spot.

New musical opportunities for young people are now available with Soundlives which is now making the most of the music and recording facilities at the centre.

The Centre Spot will host free winter holiday activities with free food, hot meals and activities for children on December 22 and 23. Booking is essential for these sessions at Foundation Events.

Gill paid tribute to Oswestry Town Council for its role in the hand-over. “The Council has been absolutely brilliant and has given us tremendous support. We very much looking forward to working with all partner organisations to further develop this wonderful asset for the town as an exemplar of great partnership working between the professional Football Club charity and the local community in which it is based,” she said.

Rooms at The Centre Spot will also be available to hire. These include an art/craft room for classes and workshops or meetings, a sports hall suitable for sports clubs but which can also be used for conferences and events, the café/ foyer area, and office space.

Information on activities at The Centre Spot and how to hire space is available by emailing the Foundation at info@tnsfcfoundation.org.uk

Space to Grow –The Ellesmere Difference

Space to Play. Space to Learn. Space to Be. Space to Grow.

In today’s fast-paced world, families are searching for more than just academic excellence—they want an education that nurtures the whole child. At Ellesmere College, we believe that true growth happens when children have the space to flourish: space to explore, to question, to create and to become the very best version of themselves.

Why Space Matters

Our 150-acre campus is more than a setting—it’s a living classroom. Here, learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door. From the sports fields and the main teams and academies to music and drama in the theatre, from outdoor adventures with the Combined Cadet Force or Duke of Edinburgh award, to quiet reflection spots via the wellbeing rooms or the lady chapel, Ellesmere offers an environment where children can develop resilience, creativity and confidence.

Space matters because it gives children freedom—the freedom to think independently, to try new things, and to discover who they are. In a world where pressure and pace often dominate, Ellesmere provides balance: a place where academic ambition meets personal wellbeing.

Beyond the Classroom

Academic success is important, that is why we offer world renowned qualifications such as the IB Diploma, but so is character. We know that the skills that matter most—communication, teamwork, adaptability—are often learned outside the classroom. Whether it’s through leadership challenges, performing arts, or collaborative projects, our students gain the soft skills that prepare them for life, not just passing exams.

Outdoor learning is a cornerstone of our approach, that is why our weekly curriculum is designed to allow for such opportunities for all pupils. From team-building exercises to environmental projects, these experiences teach resilience and problem-solving in ways that textbooks cannot. They help students understand that success in life is not just about grades—it’s about confidence, empathy, and the ability to thrive in an ever-changing world.

What Parents Say

Families notice the difference. One parent recently told us: “Choosing Ellesmere was the best decision we’ve ever made for our child.”

That statement reflects our ethos: every child is unique, and our educational model is designed to nurture individuality while building confidence and independence. Parents value the balance we offer—academic challenge alongside opportunities for creativity, sport, and personal growth. School should be fun and place of learning but also a place where pupils feel supported to try new things, to step out of their comfort zone and embrace change, as each step made builds within them a belief in who they are and what they can achieve.

Our Promise

At Ellesmere, education is about more than just grades—it’s about developing the whole child

We give students the space to grow academically, socially and emotionally, so they leave ready to thrive in an ever-changing world. Our pupils don’t just learn facts; they learn how to lead, how to collaborate, and how to adapt—skills that will serve them for life.

When you choose Ellesmere, you choose a school that values character as much as achievement. You choose a community that celebrates individuality and encourages ambition. Most importantly, you choose a place where your child has the space to become the very best version of themselves.

Dick Whittington and his Cat at Theatre Severn

The curtain rises on another sparkling pantomime season at Theatre Severn, welcoming back everyone’s favourite pantomime dame, Brad Fitt, for his 14th year – both directing and delighting audiences as Dame Sally. Produced by Evolution, this year’s ‘Dick Whittington and his Cat’ is a masterclass in keeping the whole family entertained, packed with non-stop laughs, catchy songs, energetic dance routines, and plenty of surprises.

From the moment Brad Fitt steps on stage, it’s clear why audiences adore him. His improvisational flair and comic timing ensure every scene featuring Dame Sally is a hit, with a fabulous new outfit for almost every entrance. His Barbie ‘Lardie’ is a particular favourite – watch out as she searches the audience for her very own Ken.

Tommy J shines as Billy ‘ey ey Billy’, quickly becoming a festive favourite and giving Brad Fitt a run for his money. Now in his fourth year

FILM REVIEW

Lovehard (15)

AvAilAble on netflix. In the same way we’ve all got room for one more chocolate, many of us have room for one more Christmas film over the festive period.  Among the Netflix tat is this gem from 2021.

Taking its name from Love Actually and Die Hard, this charmer has a grab bag of modern romcom tropes, dating apps, mistaken

at Theatre Severn, Tommy’s circus skills never fail to wow the audience. Yet, it’s his effortless humour and sparkling chemistry with Brad Fitt that truly steal the show.

The production is packed with memorable moments: the market barrow of puns, jokes on road signs, and the obligatory ghost bench. The unpredictable ‘12 Days of Christmas’ routine, complete with five custard pies, is messy, hilarious, and a clear crowd-pleaser.

While the Dick Whittington story is a winding one, the talented cast keeps the tale on track perfectly. Tim Whitnall makes a memorable pantomime debut as the villainous King Rat, while Cara Dudgeon as Fairy Bowbells ties the story together with strong singing, dancing, and beautifully delivered rhyming couplets. Ollie Wray shines as Dick Whittington, bringing a great singing voice and plenty of charm to the role, supported by Lottie Stone as Alice

Fitzwarren, whose acting, singing, and likability make her the perfect heroine. Izzy Charlotte Oliver delights as Tommy the cat (named Caroline for this production – cue a rousing rendition of ‘Sweet Caroline’).

A breathtaking highlight sees Dick under the sea on a turtle – a surreal, beautiful moment that must be seen to be believed. The villagers, sailors, and rats – including a team of supremely talented local children – add extra sparkle to the show.

Once again, Evolution expertly blends beloved traditions with fresh surprises, keeping the show vibrant year after year. This production is pantomime gold and the perfect way to start your Christmas celebrations. With only a few seats remaining, don’t miss your chance to join the festive fun.

Dick Whittington runs until 3 January 2026. Tommy J’s own show, ‘Keep Smiling’, is at Theatre Severn on 7 February 2026. Book now at www.theatresevern.co.uk

Courgette and feta fritters with yoghurt dip

Enjoy these deliciously crunchy fritters as finger food or part of a meal, in a lunchbox or a burger bun.

Ingred I ents

• 3 medium courgettes, trimmed

• Sea salt flakes

• 4 spring onions, trimmed and finely chopped

• 150g feta cheese, crumbled

• A small handful of fresh dill, chopped

• A small handful of fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped

• A good grating of nutmeg

• 1 tsp ground coriander

• 2 eggs, beaten

• 100g self-raising flour

• Finely grated zest of 1 lemon

• Freshly ground black pepper

• Borderfields Gold Cold-Pressed Rapeseed Oil, for frying For the yoghurt dip

• ½ cucumber, seeds scraped out

• 200ml Greek yoghurt

• 1 clove garlic, crushed

• A small handful of fresh mint leaves, chopped

method

1. Coarsely grate the courgettes into a colander, toss with a little sea salt and leave to drain for 30 minutes to an hour. Squeeze thoroughly and transfer to a large mixing bowl. Add the spring onions, feta, dill, parsley, nutmeg, coriander, eggs, flour and lemon zest. Season generously and mix well together.

2. To make the yoghurt dip, coarsely grate the cucumber into a colander, sprinkle with a pinch of salt and squeeze out all the liquid. Tip into a bowl with the yoghurt, garlic and mint and mix well. Chill in the fridge until ready to serve.

3. Add a generous amount of the oil in a frying pan and place over a medium heat. When the pan is hot, add spoonfuls (about 1 tbsp at a time) of the fritter mix to the pan and flatten down slightly. Cook for 3 minutes on either side until golden brown. Remove the fritters with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen paper while you cook the remaining mixture.

4. Serve immediately with the yoghurt mix on the side.

comes to Oswestry.

We face a lot of uncertainty. It seems that more of us are struggling to cope with the volume and complexity of problems that life throws at us. Whether we are talking about our personal lives, our careers or our businesses, we’re overwhelmed. And if that’s today, what about tomorrow?

There are three questions we have to ask ourselves.

• What do I need to do? This is about improving our immediate situation.

• How can I prepare for an uncertain future? This is about the near-term, and making sure that we don’t relive our current problems, and are ready for any new ones.

• How do I prepare myself for opportunity? This is about a better future for the long term.

There is a single answer - we need to become viable in all areas of our lives. If we aren’t viable, we’re in serious trouble. We need to become equal to whatever life throws our way. We need to develop clarity and courage so we can deliver a positive contribution to others, and become resilient for when things don't go our way.

Dr Rich Diston built a career as a world authority in security and risk management. Last year, he moved into the Oswestry area and decided to apply his insight and coaching skills in a different way.

He’d been coaching and mentoring executives and self-employed business owners for many years, and decided he’d had enough of ‘security and risk’. He dropped the ‘Dr’ and launched Energeia (which means ‘the work is its own reward’). Meet Rich.

Energeia provides three online, self-guided, 12-month coaching programmes to help answer those questions in the areas of personal development, career development and business coaching. Self-coaching is budget-friendly compared to usual coaching, and you're able to work at your own pace and on your own schedule. This flexibility is beneficial if you have busy life or work commitments that make it challenging to attend regular coaching appointments.

As an Oswestry Life reader, you can book a discounted, zero-risk coaching call to find out if Rich's help is right for you. If it is not insightful, you get a complete refund. If it makes sense, and you want to join a programme, you get the price of the call off whatever programme you join. What will you do to make 2026 better than 2025, 24...23....?

You can't leave it down to 'luck'.

And you sure can't expect 'more of the same' to give you different, better results.

Whether you're stuck in your career or struggling in your business - we should talk.

We're still pretty new around here, so we are offering a discount to all readers of Oswestry Life. Scan the code and check out the website. Maybe we can talk...

Neurodiverse people are especially welcome.

What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?

Happy New Year! How’re you feeling? Excited? Nonplussed? Not celebrating until nature’s new year in March? Or maybe you’re feeling frustrated - frustrated that the end of 2025 looked and felt a lot like the end of 2024. Maybe it seems like nothing has changed, shifted, moved, or evolved, and that’s not what you’d hoped for the year.

The start of a new year - whilst exciting and inspiring for somecan feel daunting, overwhelming, or disheartening for others. It can highlight the dreams still sitting on a shelf in their heart, untouched.

To those, I ask: What are you afraid of? What’s holding you back from doing the thing you really want to? What’s stopping you from stepping out of the familiar and into the great, beautiful unknown - full of possibility and opportunity?

“Life is not tried It is merely survived If you’re standing outside the fire.”

These Garth Brooks lyrics have been swirling in my mind since I was a teenager. They rang true even then. I knew there was more to life than being safe and comfortable, more than choosing the predictable just to avoid disappointment. Life is unpredictable and resisting that is futile.

“Standing Outside the Fire” gave

my self-conscious younger self permission to live life my way, and the courage to dream big and not stand outside the hot, beautiful fire of life. As we step into this new calendar year, I hope it gives you that permission too.

We get one life, and it’s up to each of us to choose how we live it. So, as Mary Oliver asked in her poem, “tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”

Join me on Saturday 17 January, 1–4pm at Soma Space, Oswestry, for my vision-setting workshop, Hello 2026! Get clear on what you want this year to becomeand how you’re going to make it happen. To enquire or book, email jennawardcoaching@gmail.com.

The Importance of Gym Training After 55

At Coach House Fitness, Oswestry, we champion an active lifestyle at every stage of life. Whether you’ve been active since your younger years or are a complete novice concerned about the health issues that come with ageing, the evidence is clear: for those over 55, regular gym-based exercise offers significant benefits. From improved strength and balance to better heart health and a sharper mind, staying active plays a vital role in overall wellness. At Coach House Fitness we’re fully equipped to support our over-55 members with tailored programmes, adapted classes and a welcoming environment that helps you train safely and confidently.

Muscle mass and bone density naturally decline with age, which can affect balance and mobility, but research shows that tailored resistance training can not only slow but even reverse this process. With guidance from our experienced instructors, who create bespoke programmes using free weights and resistance machines, members can begin building functional

strength within a short period of regular attendance. This approach improves joint stability and posture, making a real difference to everyday life.

Cardiovascular health is another common concern as we age. We support older members with a range of low-impact, joint-friendly classes, including Boxercise and tailored Circuit Training. Our Technogym cardio equipment is also incorporated into programmes, allowing members to steadily build endurance at a pace suited to their body. Regular aerobic exercise supports blood pressure, lowers cholesterol and reduces inflammation linked to heart disease.

Mental wellness also plays a vital role in ageing. Exercise reduces stress, improves sleep and lifts mood, and doing it in a supportive, sociable environment helps prevent loneliness and isolation.

Finally, at Coach House Fitness, we’ve recently opened our new Recovery Room, complete with a traditional sauna and red light therapy panels. These therapies help reduce muscle soreness and joint stiffness, promote faster recovery and lower inflammation, all of which support your body as it adapts with age and help you to stay active safely and comfortably.

Helping you to stay independent at home

Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin is a local charity dedicated to improving the lives of older people throughout the county.

One of the ways the charity can help is through its Help at Home service, designed to help individuals stay independent and safe in their own homes. After an enquiry or referral, one of the charity’s experienced assessors will arrange a home visit to understand your needs and how best they can help.

The service is delivered by a team of caring and reliable Home Support Workers, all of whom have undergone DBS checks and provided strong references. They assist with everyday tasks that may have become difficult or that you might usually rely on your family to manage.

Typical tasks include:

Vacuuming and dusting.

Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms.

Laundry, ironing and changing bedding.

Shopping and collecting prescriptions.

Visits are typically offered in two-hour blocks, and the same Support Worker visits each time helping to build a friendly and trusting relationship. The service is flexible to

changing needs and supported by an office team to keep the family informed.

In addition to practical help, the charity can conduct a benefits check to ensure you’re receiving all the financial support you’re entitled to.

David is one of the many people who benefits from the Help at Home service. He receives support with cleaning, laundry, and shopping from his Home Support Worker, Clare, who has been part of the team for over four years.

“A very helpful lady helped me fill out the forms for attendance allowance and with the extra income I can afford services like Help at Home.”

“Having Clare visit is great. It helps to know the house is clean as my wife was very particular about it when she was alive. We always enjoy a cup of coffee together and a chat. It’s nice to have someone to talk to every week and her work means I get to spend more time with my dog, Barra.”

New Year, Same You?

There’s a lot of pressure at this time of year to make big changes, shake off ‘bad’ habits and become a better shinier version of yourself, just at the darkest, coldest time of year when nature is truly hibernating. Fighting against this natural rhythm can be hard and researchers have shown that only 19% of individuals keep their resolutions beyond mid-January.

Why not try some gentle ways to start making changes if a massive goal doesn’t feel right for you:

Forever Cacao are holding Reset and Restore – A Weekend of Wellness, 17-18 Jan.

An invite to reset and restore your nervous system, connect with like-minded people, banish the winter blues and immerse yourself in a variety of sessions that heal the body, mind and soul.

On Saturday, the theme is reset - through the practice of yoga, qi gong, yoga nidra, singing, dancing and sound. On the Sunday, we invite you to the theme of restoration, where we focus on slowing down, stillness, nourishment and nurture as we attune to ourselves, others and whatever we hold as sacred through yin yoga or yoga nidra. After a lunch together we will explore what ‘restore’ means to us through the offering of a cacao ceremony.

Why EFT could be the key to your success in 2026

Imagine beginning this year with a sense of emotional lightness you haven’t felt in years. Imagine waking up without the familiar knot of stress, the old patterns that follow you around, or the imposter syndrome that niggles at you at the worst possible times.

For many people, that shift didn’t come from a drastic lifestyle overhaul or a punishing new routine, it came from a gentle technique known as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).

Create big changes in your life

EFT, or “tapping,” is deceptively simple. A few moments of gentle tapping on specific acupressure points while focusing on a challenging emotion can settle the nervous system and unlock what once felt impossible to shift.

People often arrive at their first session unsure of what to expect and leave feeling lighter, clearer, and unexpectedly hopeful. This is the kind of transformation that keeps EFT at the forefront of emerging wellbeing practices: it creates real movement, sometimes in minutes, not months.

Why transformation feels different with EFT

Where other approaches focus on powering through, EFT works by softening what’s been weighing you down emotionally, physically, or mentally, and stopping your progress. This shift matters, because when your emotional weight lifts, your capacity for other things grows. Health goals become easier. Relationships grow steadier. Sleep returns. Confidence feels natural, not forced. You start responding to life instead of reacting to it. Suddenly you can enjoy your work.

A practitioner who understands your ‘why’

Oswestry based Paul Cosens, brings decades of experience in highpressure environments to the table which means he understands the turmoil people go through during periods of stress, anxiety and burnout.

Based in Oswestry, he blends EFT with executive coaching to help people unhook from the thoughts and memories that keep them stuck. His background in healthcare consultancy, especially in child and adolescent mental health, gives him insight into emotions across the whole lifespan.

But it’s Paul’s calm, grounded manner that clients mention most. Many say they felt understood within minutes. Several report emotional shifts they once thought impossible.

What the clients say

Most of Paul’s clients now work with him online, meeting from the privacy and comfort of their own homes. For many, this makes the transformation feel even more personal, something they can continue practising long after the session ends.

“I was struggling with a mental issue that I couldn’t seem to shake off. After 1 session of EFT with Paul the negative emotion and mental blocks were tuned down significantly. After the 2nd session a week later, my brain seemed to have reframed the problems into more of a game; a puzzle to be solved, releasing all the “stuck negative energy” that was bringing me down and enabling me to get back to my old self. I would highly HIGHLY recommend Paul for EFT!” - Ian

“My sessions with Paul were remote due to our locations…I felt much improvement in the level of pain/discomfort I was feeling (Fibromyalgia) and often this was instant. I actually lead a pain-free life for a solid 2-months following my sessions with Paul. I haven’t experienced ‘pain-free’ since I was 15, so this is a huge testimony to Paul’s work. Definitely highly recommended!” - Fay

Get rid of stress

If you’re carrying stress that won’t go, old emotions that feel like baggage, or habits you’re tired of battling, EFT could be the turning point for you.

Paul is offering Oswestry Life readers a free informal chat and 10% discount, which is a friendly, no-pressure evaluation to explore whether EFT could help support you with a great start to the new year.

A lighter life is possible. And it may begin with something as simple as a tap.

RISE AND SHINE

How

Wake

up naturally

Ditch the alarm if you want to set yourself up for the day. Research has shown that people who wake up naturally feel more awake more quickly and are more likely to feel rested throughout the day. To make it work, go to bed at a time that allows your body to find its natural – or circadian –rhythm, and turn in at the same time every night.

Go outside

Getting out into the daylight as soon as possible after waking up will help you feel alert during the day and sleepy at bedtime. The fresh air, exercise and being in nature will also boost your mood.

Delay your coffee

Levels of the stress hormone cortisol are higher when you wake up, offering a natural energy boost. Save the caffeine until after your morning walk when you’re more likely to need it.

EAR WAX TROUBLE?

Get moving – but gently

Our bodies stiffen up overnight, so a few light stretches to loosen up in the morning will help prepare you for the day ahead. There are plenty of suggestions online. To avert injury, move around naturally for 30 minutes before doing any exercise routine.

Have protein for breakfast

Avoid sugar, which causes blood glucose spikes, and opt for protein instead. Protein and wholegrains will keep you fuller for longer and give you energy. Try eggs on wholemeal toast or porridge with skimmed milk and fruit.

Glaukos

Our eyes are amongst the many things we often take for granted in our bodies. They are amazingly constructed with many different layers designed to detect different colours, depths, focus on different distances and offer eye protection. Everyone should have their eyes checked every 2 years and these tests are free for children, those under 18yrs old in full time education and the over 60s.

During these checks many of us will have had the “puff test” where a jet of air is directed at your cornea to measure your eye pressure. This is to exclude raised eye pressure. Your eye is a ball and, just life a football, needs pressure inside it to maintain its shape. Just like too much blood pressure is not good so is too much eye pressure. High intraocular pressure can lead to glaucoma where this pressure slowly, and without you noticing, can destroy your vision. It starts encroaching on

your peripheral vision which explains the other test your optician will usually do with a machine showing little wiggly lines flashing that you have to acknowledge with a cancel button. Nowadays you may even have an OCT: optical coherence tomogram. These machines can look at the different layers in the eye and crucially detect optic nerve damage early. They use light reflection from the different layers to produce a 3D image of the back of the eye, and you do not feel a thing!

Why is all this so important? The Greek word I mentioned on our heading referred to the blue - white look of a blind eye that is the result of untreated glaucoma. Treatment today stops this happening and is usually simple and straightforward, often daily eyedrops. 1 in every 50 people over 40 has raised eye pressure rising to 1 in every 10 over 75yrs of age.

When did you last see an optician?

Clipz & Bitz

Embroidery is run by Jade, who recently moved to Oswestry from Essex with her husband and their two children, Hartley and Dinky. She founded the business shortly after Hartley was born, beginning with handmade dummy clips before the venture naturally evolved into a specialist embroidery service.

“It just grew with me,” Jade explains. “Now I focus mainly on embroidered workwear and school uniform, but I still love creating all sorts of personalised items.”

Over six years, Clipz & Bitz has expanded to offer a wide range of bespoke products — from cake toppers to printed clothing and cups. With no minimum order requirements, Jade welcomes all customers, whether they need a single embroidered jumper or personalised items for an entire team. “There’s very little I can’t do,” she says. “My favourite part is turning someone’s idea into something real.”

Since settling in Oswestry, Jade has found the community incredibly supportive. Customers often contact her through WhatsApp, knock on her door after finding her online, or stop by her market stall to chat about their vision.

Many come to her when online orders fall through or when they need last-minute items, something larger embroidery companies rarely accommodate. She often helps parents who buy uniform and tradespeople who prefer their own workwear. “I’ll always consider embroidering customers’ items,” Jade says, “as long as the quality is suitable.”

Jade works from Crafty Creations in Oswestry Indoor Market every Wednesday, where a recent revamp now allows her to offer same-day personalisation. Shoppers can buy items from around town and bring them straight to her for embroidery.

“The local support has been amazing, I’m now an authorised supplier of the Mustang Explorers merchandise, as well as teamwear for Oswestry Otters and have been working with Holy Trinity to kit out their entire staffing team with branded coats and uniform.”

Contact Jade on WhatsApp 07807 725765, email clipzandbitz2019@gmail.com, Facebook, or simply visit Jade at the market for a friendly chat.

A young Shropshire woman who is raising awareness of living with a hidden disability has interviewed a Coronation Street and Ackley Bridge star for an Oswestry law firm’s podcast.

Anna Redding, a former student at Derwen College, recorded the special episode of Lanyon Bowdler’s Legal Lounge podcast with actor Sam Retford, who is currently playing Dougal McKenzie in Outlander, Blood of My Blood.

Anna is no stranger to Lanyon Bowdler’s podcast, having recorded a previous episode with firm partner Lucy Small, discussing Anna’s campaign to highlight the challenges of those living with hidden disabilities.Lucy said, “It was an absolute pleasure to invite Anna back to the podcast for her interview with Sam Retford. They got to know each other when Sam visited Derwen College to run some acting workshops, and we were very grateful to Sam for giving up his time to help Anna’s awareness campaign. During the chat with Anna, Sam explains his hope for a more positive and supportive environment in the acting industry for people with disabilities.

He said, “Right now it’s an easy thing for people to talk about physical or observable disabilities because there is more understanding.

“I hope with time and more experience, and the more people with disabilities who become involved with producing and casting, there will be a lot more education and knowledge about accessible and inclusive working environments.

“From working with people with hidden or visible disabilities, I learned there is not one rule for everyone and the best thing you can do is sit down and have a conversation to understand what each person needs.

“At the end of the day, the only thing that is disabling is the environment, and if you can make the environment and the people open to access, then all of a sudden those disabilities can become extra abilities.”

To listen to the podcast, visit Lanyon Bowdler’s website at www.lblaw.co.uk/knowledge or search for The Legal Lounge on your preferred podcast streaming platform.

BRush up

Consider colour capping for a visually intriguing yet tranquil effect.

No more white ceilings and woodwork

Colour capping involves using varying tones of a single colour right up to the ceiling, creating a sense of harmony without sharp breaks (goodbye, white skirtings and ceilings). The room feels bigger than it really is, because the eye travels seamlessly around it. Flat surfaces gain depth and the whole space feels enveloping and intimate.

The look is surprisingly easy to achieve and works especially well in period homes, where architraves, dado rails and cornicing can be washed in with the graduating colours, enhancing their detail and character. In modern homes, meanwhile, colour capping provides depth and understated variations of colour where architectural features may be lacking.

Casabella interior matte paint, from £20.75 for 0.94l, Benjamin Moore. www.benjaminmoorepaint.co.uk

Use a simple decorating guideline

Pick at least three different shades from the same family. Proportion is vital and one of the most successful ways to achieve this is to follow the 60:30:10 rule. Simply use one main hue over 60% of the room, a feature colour for 30% and an accent colour for 10%. For a brighter, airy look, apply 60:30:10 from top to bottom or, for a darker, more dramatic look, go from bottom to top.

Where to use colour capping

This look can work in almost any room but is most effective in a space where you want to create atmosphere and intimacy. When applying it to living rooms and bedrooms, especially if you use the darkest tone for the ceiling, colour capping creates a cocooning effect. In open-plan spaces, it can be used to zone areas for different uses.

However, in rooms that are very dark or have low ceilings, it may be better to stick to a one-colour scheme.

Choosing colours and finishes

Paint company colour charts and websites make it straightforward to choose coordinating shades of the same colour. Keep the contrasts strong enough to tell the difference between the shades but not so strong they don’t harmonise.

Pale neutrals are perfect when you want a light, bright, airy feel for smaller or north-facing rooms, where it’s best to avoid stark whites. For warmth and drama, vibrant reds, oranges and mustards fit the bill, while earthy, organic tones of olive, brown and ochre feel relaxing. Pastels like sage, cornflower and dusky pink are elegant in a well-balanced interior.

January in the garden

January may seem like a quiet, dormant month in the garden, but it’s an ideal time to get ready for a productive and vibrant year ahead. While growth is slow, opportunities for planning, preparation, and simple maintenance abound. With a bit of thought, there is a lot you can do, even during these cold short days.

Start by reviewing what you have. With bare shrubs and flower beds, see where you’d like to add some new plants to create some interest during winter. Maybe an evergreen or two, perhaps a dogwood with bright red stems in winter. Remembering how your garden looked last summer is important (you did take some photos didn’t you?) Think about some new colours. Depending on the size of garden, it is nice to have interesting little corners to explore, avoiding a garden which can all be seen in one view.

You can start to enrich the soil for the year ahead. If the ground isn’t frozen dig in some well-rotted manure but avoid too much digging if the ground is soddened. This also goes for the vegetable garden. If you are growing vegetables, January is a good time to start getting ready, cleaning everything and making sure you have enough supplies and seeds. Indoors, you can begin sowing slow-growing crops like onions and aubergines, but there is a limit to how much you can grow on your windowsills, so try to be realistic.

January is also good for pruning. Deciduous trees and shrubs, including apple and pear trees, will benefit from a winter prune to improve their shape and encourage healthy fruiting. But, as I have said before, stay away from the prunus family like plums and cherries to avoid disease. Autumn raspberries should be cut to the ground and the currants tidied up removing old shoots.

Sort through seed packets, checking their sow by dates. Many will germinate after this date but may be erratic and some like parsnips really need fresh seed.

A job I hate but which needs to be done is to clean greenhouses and cold frames. Don’t forget the wildlife, food can be scarce at this time of year, so bird feeders, fresh water, and shelter are useful. They’ll pay you back by helping to control pests.

TRANSFORM YOUR HOME WITH DWYER CONSTRUCTION

TRANSFORM YOUR HOME WITH DWYER CONSTRUCTION

• When planting bulbs, annuals or perennials in large containers, consider including an upside-down plastic pot inside the larger one. It reduces the volume of compost required, helps to keep the drainage holes clear, and makes the container lighter and easier to move.

• Use pot feet or some small, flat pieces of wood to raise plants in pots off the ground during winter. It keeps them warmer and helps prevent pot-cracks.

• When purchasing perennials as container plants, choose the largest you can find and split them. You’ll get two or three plants for the price of one.

• You can make your own fertiliser using nettles, comfrey, dandelions and even the water left over from cooking rice. Put the plants into a bucket, top it up with water and leave it for two weeks. Take out the plant matter, dilute the mixture and spray it on leafy plants or vegetables for a nitrogen boost.

• Tailor plant food. The three nutrients most important to plants are: nitrogen (N), which stimulates leaf growth; phosphorus (P), for strong root growth; and potassium (K) – also called potash – to feed developing flowers and fruit.

Time to clean that greenhouse

• Prepare for the growing season by making a garlic spray to deter plant pests. Grate a head of garlic, steep it in a litre of boiling water, then allow it to stand for 12 hours. Strain and add more water, plus a little mild soap.

YOUR FINANCIAL FRESH START FOR 2026

It’s easy for finances to become something we’ll ‘sort out later’.

From looking at how your investments are performing to checking whether your pension is on track and if you have the right protections in place, it’s often the kind of life admin we delay.

But as we head into 2026, why not make this the year you put it at the top of your to-do list?

Think of it as a reset button – a chance to refresh, refocus and take control of your financial future.

Here, Craig Roberts, director of Belgrave Wincham Independent Financial Planners, shares his top tips on where to start:

Review what you’ve got

Begin by looking at your current setup. Are your savings and pension contributions where they need to be for the retirement you’re hoping for? Has anything changed in your life that means your insurance coverage needs updating? Often our financial setup doesn’t shift as quickly as our lives do so it’s important to check everything still fits your needs.

Check your savings are earning their keep

Interest rates have moved around quite a bit recently, so if your savings have been sitting in the same account for years, you might be missing out on significantly better rates. The same goes for investments – a quick review to ensure they still match your goals and comfort with risk is worthwhile.

Sort out your safety net

Life insurance, income protection, and wills are easy to ignore until you urgently need them. Looking at your protections now, while there’s no crisis, means you can make thoughtful choices rather than rushed ones.

Consider taking professional help

You don’t have to figure everything out alone. A good independent financial adviser can help you spot opportunities you’ve missed, avoid expensive mistakes and create a realistic plan for what you want to achieve.

What help can I get if my husband gets a diagnosis for dementia?

Q: My husband has always taken care of money and the house, but now I am worried he may have developed Alzheimer’s or dementia and I don’t know what to do. He has become vehemently difficult as well as forgetful and I’m not sure I’ll cope with him at home. We have an appointment to see the GP but what do I need to be aware of and who else can I go to for help?

A: Being prepared is key to coping and you are doing all the right things in getting him seen for an early diagnosis and researching what help is available in advance. If your husband is diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer’s it is likely there will come a time when you need help to look after him, at home or in a care home. You will probably also need to take over his affairs when he becomes unable to make decisions for himself.

The Mental Capacity Act 2005 provides the legal framework for someone else to make decisions on behalf of those who lack mental capacity to make their own decisions. It also provides safeguards to ensure those decisions are made in the person’s best interests. Sometimes it becomes necessary for the person to be detained or have their freedom restricted – for their own safety. If this happens the care provider must apply, if necessary under the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) and in some cases through the Court of Protection, for authorisation to impose such restrictions.

Those subjected to DoLS have the right to legal representation to ensure that safeguards are properly followed. As well as helping families to understand the authorisation process, solicitors can challenge inappropriate or unlawful restrictions, ensure decisions are made in the detainee’s best interests, and protect their rights. A solicitor can also help with Lasting Powers of Attorney to give you permission to make decisions on your husband’s behalf, Deputyship applications and care funding disputes.

This question has been answered by Aleksandra Slawinska, a Trainee Solicitor with GHP Legal, specialists in Mental Capacity & Court of Protection.  If you would like to speak to someone about this or any other legal matter, please visit our website www.ghplegal.com and use the contact us form, or call us on: Wrexham 01978 291456, Llangollen 01978 860313, Oswestry 01691 659194
