Founded in 1966, The American School of Dubai is an independent, not-for-profit, U.S. curriculum international school with an inclusive admissions policy. ASD is accredited by Middle States Association (MSACS), and is a member of NESA, MESAC International ACAC, CIS and College Board. CURRICULUM & GRADING OVERVIEW
ASD is a U.S. curriculum school with standard-based grading based on a cumulative year-long calendar. Some electives are semester-based. ASD offers a rigorous selection of courses including twenty-five that are Advanced Placement. All AP classes taken on campus are weighted 0.25. Most AP are reserved for grades 11 & 12.
