Asian Packaging Federation Celebrated 50th Years Anniversary in Tokyo Asia Packaging Federation 2018 meetings, AsiaStar Packaging Competition Jury Meeting and Awards Ceremony took place in Tokyo with the contributions of Japan Packaging Institute. Celebrating the 50th year of its foundation also in Japan, which is the country of its foundation, members of APF had the opportunity to meet in Tokyo Pack 2018.

3rd General Assembly Meeting and 68th Board of Directors Meeting of Asia Packaging Federation (APF), where Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) is the First Vice President, AsiaStar Packaging Competition Jury Meeting and Awards Ceremony took place in Tokyo, on October 1 - 3, 2018 with the contributions of Japan Packaging Institute. Celebrating the 50th year of its foundation also in Japan, which is the country of its foundation, members of APF and the representatives of the Packaging Industry in Asia, the largest continent in the world had the opportunity to meet in Tokyo Pack 2018. Coming together annually for the General Board meeting, representatives from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Turkey exchanged ideas about the works of APF and made decisions about collaborations for developing the packaging industry in the continent. Opening reception for Tokyo Pack 2018 took place concurrently with AsiaStar 2018 Awards Ceremony, which is hosted by Japan Packaging Institute. Attended by Bangladesh, Indonesia, India, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Turkey in 2018, AsiaStar 2018 packaging design competition received a total of 164 applications. 13 products of companies who managed to be the finalists in ‘World Crescents and Stars for Packaging 2018’ competition, which was organized by ASD for the 8th time and is a brand in Turkey received a total of 5 AsiaStars including 3 in the category of Consumer Goods, 1 in the category of Transport and 1 in the category of Eco-Packaging. 13 student projects of young designers who won the 14th Packaging Design National Student Competition received 6 awards in the Student Category of the competition. This way Turkey returned from AsiaStar 2018 with 11 awards. Winning product and project awards were received by ASD General Secretary Aslihan Arikan on behalf of Turkey from Rohan Victoria, the President of APF.
50th Year of the Foundation of APF Was Celebrated in Tokyo Pack
Asia Packaging Federation (APF) was founded in Tokyo 50 years before. The 50th Anniversary of foundation of the federation was celebrated in Tokyo concurrently with Tokyo Pack 2018, hosted by Japan Packaging Institute in October. Held on October 2nd - 5th, Tokyo Pack was visited by over 62,000 visitors.
