1 Wash and dry 6 eating apples. Push an ice lolly stick firmly into each one, through the base. Grease a sheet of baking paper with unsalted butter. Fill a bowl with cold water. 2 Heat 450g demerara sugar, 50g unsalted butter, 2tsp cider vinegar, 1tbsp Asda Clear Honey and 150ml cold water in a pan, stirring, until the sugar dissolves completely. 3 Boil for 10 mins or until a little of the mixture dropped into the bowl of water hardens right away. Don’t worry if it looks frothy. 4 Remove from the heat then dip the apples in the toffee to coat – take care as it’s very hot. Stand them on the greased baking paper, then allow to set and cool completely before serving. Energy
