Who We Are The Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) is a North American trade association dedicated to representing the adhesive and sealant industry. The Council was founded in 1958 as a 501c(6) Non-profit Corporation.

ASC is unique in that it represents the supply chain including adhesive and sealant manufacturers, raw material and equipment suppliers, distributors and industry consultants representing more than 60% of the U.S. industry with operations around the world.

The Industry sells an estimated 10.3 billion pounds of adhesives and sealants in North America valued at 18.3 Billion dollars and is responsible for 20,600 manufacturing jobs at 145 facilities in 28 states.*

•A SC Training Academy – live and on-demand webinars on timely and important areas of technical and business interest designed to deliver a cost-effective and convenient method for career development, skills and training for the industry in an inclusive array of markets, technologies and chemistries. Targeted content delivered in technical, commercial and regulatory series for both new and veteran professionals • Training Academy Certificate Program – fundamentals and focused adhesive and sealant courses for professionals in the major market segments, technologies, and chemistries. New for 2019 launch is the second TAC platform designed for business professionals where fundamental business management courses across platform of project management, value proposition, voice of the customer, and finance are taught by experts and seasoned professionals from the adhesive and sealant industry.

• Technical Short Courses – the latest information and experiential learning on adhesive and sealant technologies from industry experts designed for both technical and non-technical personnel. Two short courses based on adhesives technologies are offered at our Annual Spring Convention. Additionally, a stand-alone short course is held each fall on foundation topics such as Formulation Science, Testing, Sustainable Chemistry, Mix and Dispense Technology.

•A SC Convention – the largest industry gathering in North America and the setting for a robust program of educational sessions focused on the latest technologies, emerging research and soon-to-be commercially viable technologies, business issues, feedstock trends, regulatory affairs, market conditions, and end user focused tracks.
