Plan now for the 37th Annual Meeting! The Adhesion Society was organized out of the recognized need for a multidisciplinary forum to discuss adhesion issues. In February 1978, the “Call for Papers” was issued announcing that the inaugural meeting of The Adhesion Society would be on March 20-21, 1978, at the University of Akron. There were eight technical presentations made to approximately 50 attendees. Those present ratified the organizational plans for the new Society and set its development in motion. The rest, as they say, is history. The 37th Annual Meeting received 150+ abstract submissions which will result in a strong program. This four day event also offers a two-day short course, poster session, exhibition, student award symposium and concurrent technical sessions. Our goal is to welcome 200 global adhesion professionals. The Program Committee invites you to the 37th Annual Meeting being held at the Bahia Resort Hotel in San Diego, CA. We are confident it will be a great event for you and your company. Best regards,

Ken Shull

Professor of Materials Science, Northwestern University President, Adhesion Society

Tim Long Professor & Associate Director of Outreach, Virginia Tech Program Chair, Adhesion Society

February 21-22, 2014 Bahia Resort Hotel – San Diego, CA This two day event provides an introduction and overview to a variety of critically important topics in the field of adhesion. Unlike other courses, the goal is not to give comprehensive coverage of the adhesion field, but rather to use the Adhesion Society Annual Meeting to assemble an outstanding group of instructors that would not otherwise be available in a single course. Each subject is presented by a scientist who is a world leader in that area. This gives the attendees the opportunity to learn from and interact with scientists whose expertise provides a unique view into the history, science and relevance of their topic.
