Dear HIV Dear HIV, I’m writing to you to let you know I am not afraid. You don’t control me. It’s my job and duty to control you. You are not my friend nor enemy. I see you more as a consequence, a curse. I put it on myself not doing things I was supposed to do. But, I live and learn. I know that you will never stop, so therefore I won’t. You will not be the cause of my death. I will not suffer because of you. You need me to live, though I can live without you. Since I lost the battle of preventing you, the war of stopping you has just begun.
Writing to the Girl in the Mirror I thank you for letting me know how good I look every morning. You remind me of my worth: that I may mean something to somebody, but that I mean something more to myself. I thank you for letting me share and vent how I feel whenever I’m having a bad day, even though you never talk back. A lot of people may think I’m crazy talking to you, but they need to understand that even though your friends and family may be there for you, there’s someone who will never leave your side—and that’s Your Self.
Love Love is an indescribable feeling to someone appealing. A lustful adventure between two people. But yet love can be such an evil thing. It brings so much pain and heartache. Sometimes it’s just not worth the headache. Love is so blind you can’t see what’s in front of you, don’t even have a clue of what’s around you. Love can make you so blue you want to throw up. Love is what you make it to be. I write what love means to me. We all have our ups and downs but it’s love that turns your life around.
