Night! Night! When the ceiling of the world bursts into a spectacular festival of dancing diamonds. Night! When lovers whisper things that can only be understood by the heart. Night! When the heart sees its dreams come true in its lover’s eyes. Night! When words are not needed to say I love you. Night! When the heart in love, and the broken heart, dream of a new tomorrow. Night! When God reassures us we’ll be all right as He tucks us in with His gentle and loving hands. Goodnight—the final hello.
Another Day Another day in New York City’s damn rat race. Another day, riding the Iron Monster, some damn fool stepping on my foot, then looking at me like I’m suppose to say “I’m sorry.” Idiot! Another day, taking this damn medication. Damn, I wish there was another way! Another day, losing weight without changing my diet, asking myself, “Is this the beginning of the end?” Another day, being lonely and pretending I’m not. Another day, going to the doctor. Damn, I’m tired. Another day of waking up— wait a minute, I did wake up... a lot of people didn’t this morning. Another day of thanking God for another day.
