Tornado Turns Towns into Rubble

Lee County, Alabama – A monster tornado hit Alabama on Sunday night and destroyed several neighborhoods. It is the deadliest tornado in the USA since the 2013 tornado in Moore, Oklahoma. The giant tornado which swept through Lee County, Alabama, on

Sunday has left a trail of destruction. Houses were ripped apart, cars flew through the air, and schools were destroyed. Hospitals in the area report that 90 people are injured, and 23 are dead.

Rescue workers are doing their best to save people who are stuck in the rubble. Many are missing.

Roads are destroyed or filled with debris, making it difficult for the police and fire trucks to get through. The National Weather Center reports that the tornado was a mile wide at one point. This was the first violent tornado in Alabama since 1875. Today, thousands of people in Lee County are out searching for their belongings where their home once stood. Others are preparing for the next big storm.
