A book review is a person’s reaction to a book they have read.

The Witches by Roald Dahl

I am going to tell you about the book The Witches. The author of the book is Roald Dahl. It was written in 1983.

The main character of the story is a young boy. Other characters are the grandmother, Bruno and the Grand High Witch.

The story is about the young boy. His parents die in a car crash and he has to live with his grandmother in Norway. She tells him stories about witches and how to recognise a witch.

One day, the boy meets some witches. He finds out that they have a scary plan. They want to turn all the children in England into mice. The boy and his grandmother come up with a great plan to get rid of all witches.

I think the book was good and funny because I like stories full of witches and magic. I think it was a bit sad, too, because of what happened to the boy.
