Your School Needs Your Voice and Vote

What is a student council? Do you have a student council at your school? What do they do?

Your class sends two pupils to the Student Council. They will speak for you and your class about: • What changes you would like to make at your school • Ideas to make everyone feel safe and happy

Think carefully about who you are going to vote for. They must be able to: • Lead the Student Council meetings in your classroom • Listen to different ideas • Speak up at meetings • Present the ideas from your class at the meetings • Report back to class • Be positive • Be good role models

If you want to join the Student Council, give a speech and tell your class why they should vote for you. Everyone can try to be elected.
