Celebrate the Young Child Conference is Arizona’s Premier Early Childhood Conference! The Annual Celebrate the Young Child Conference (CYCC) is a statewide conference for early childhood professionals just like you, who are committed to providing quality care and education to children in Arizona. The Celebrate the Young Child Conference is hosted by the Association for Supportive Child Care (ASCC) and the Arizona Child Care Association (ACCA), two partnering agencies dedicated to serving the early childhood field. You are invited to register for a day of professional development, networking with other early childhood professionals, and access to numerous resources. This conference offers twenty-five different workshops to meet the needs of early childhood professionals. You can earn up to seven hours of training in one day. By attending our Celebrate the Young Child Conference, you are sharing something special – a conference that was planned just for you and your peers. Each year at CYCC you learn the most current information on state policy, best practices, and new methodologies that are just starting to emerge. CYCC provides the opportunity for you to network and collaborate with others in the field. At the Celebrate the Young Child Conference you will have access to an on-site notary, have your fingerprints rolled, and even receive limited immunizations. Registration opens January 18, 2017. La Conferencia Anual de Celebrate the Young Child (CYCC) es una conferencia a nivel estatal para profesionales de la niñez temprana como usted, que están comprometidos a brindar cuidado y educación de calidad a los niños de Arizona. The 26th Annual Celebrate the Young Child Conference is presented by the Association for Supportive Child Care and the Arizona Child Care Association

Saturday, March 4, 2017 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Location: Glendale Civic Center 5750 West Glenn Drive Glendale, Arizona 85301 Registration: $55 early bird registration (post-marked by February 3, 2017). $70 registration (post-marked February 4, 2017 or later). Group Registration - Register ten (10) attendees at the same time for $500 (must be registered by February 3, 2017). Price for Group Registration (10 attendees) will be $600 February 4, 2017 and later. Registration for workshops is required. Every effort will be made to accommodate your requests. However, due to limited space and popularity of certain workshops, you may be placed in another workshop if your first three choices are full. It is recommended that you submit your registration as early as possible.

Payment must accompany registration. NO REFUNDS. There will be no on-site registration at the conference.

Meals:

Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are available for purchase. Concession stands will be available on-site at the conference. Food items at these stands range from $2 - $8. No outside food is permitted on the premises. You may bring your lunch but it may not be brought into, or eaten on the premises. A list of restaurants located near the conference center will be provided in your conference booklet.

Workshops:

The conference is designed for child care professionals, educators and parents. Participants will receive a certificate for six hours of training, plus one additional hour for those who attend the “Lunch and Learn� session.

Vendors:

Participants will have the opportunity to view educational exhibits and purchase merchandise at vendor booths during the conference.

Raffle Drawings:

A raffle drawing for $500 will be held at the end of the conference. Raffle tickets are $1 each, 6 tickets for $5, or 25 for $20 and may be purchased throughout the day. You must be present to win. Proceeds benefit the early childhood community.

Tables and chairs are available in the east and west courtyards of the conference facility for your use. No outside food may be brought into the civic center. science, STEM. This training focuses directly on Arizona’s Quality Rating and Improvement System.

2. Child Directed Art with an ECERS Focus - Presented by Discount School Supply Explore the art of creating child-directed messy art while integrating found objects, recycled materials and STEM concepts. Art activities are one of the best ways to promote brain development in early childhood. Children learn optimally when hands-on, self-directed learning engages their eye/ hand/brain connection. Meaningful art experiences provide children with emotional rewards and authentic self-expression – the freedom of choice, thought and feeling.
