Join ASB as the Director of Security & General Services:
The American School of Bombay (ASB) seeks a Director of Security & General Services to lead security, emergency preparedness, facilities operations, and transportation services across its two campuses This leadership role requires strategic oversight, crisis management expertise, and coordination with local authorities to ensure a safe and well-managed environment. The Director of Security & General Services will develop and implement security strategies, manage infrastructure, and lead a team dedicated to maintaining the safety and efficiency of the school community
Key Responsibilities:
● Lead security operations on two campuses, including risk assessments, access control, and emergency response planning
● Oversee facility management, ensuring compliance with safety codes, labor laws, fire safety regulations, and risk mitigation standards
● Manage school transportation services, optimizing efficiency, safety, and compliance
● Serve as the primary liaison with law enforcement, consulates, and emergency services
● Develop and implement training in security, emergency preparedness, and occupational safety.
● Manage budgets and resources for security and general services, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
● Supervise and mentor security, facilities, and transportation teams, fostering a culture of excellence
● Execute and monitor construction and structural projects

Who We’re Looking For?
A strategic leader with expertise in security, operations, and risk management
Qualifications & Experience:
● Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or specialized certifications (CPP, PSP, or equivalent)
● Technical expertise and qualification preferred
● Five or more years of leadership experience in security, risk management, or operations.
Knowledge and Skills:
● Expertise in crisis response, emergency preparedness, occupational safety, and regulatory compliance
● Proficient in security technology, facility management systems, project management, and risk assessment
● Leadership and team management, with experience coordinating across departments and external agencies
● Knowledge of security technologies, facility management software, and risk assessment
● Effective communication and problem-solving skills to foster collaboration
