Our History For over 40 years, ASB has empowered its learners through a rigorous and forward-thinking education. American School of Bombay is one of the most established international schools in Mumbai, India. Our journey began in 1981, with just 12 students in a room at the American Consulate, and was spearheaded by a group of parents to serve a growing expatriate community. Since then, our philosophy has remained to offer a dynamic and rigorous education to internationally mobile families. A significant chapter in ASB’s history has included our move in 1998 to the Bandra Kurla Complex, a growing economic and lifestyle center within Mumbai, and later to a bespoke facility for our Elementary School in the Kurla neighborhood. The school also successfully completed International
