Quality teaching and small class sizes In the Sixth Form you will find that class sizes will become noticeably smaller and that there is space for more discussion and informality than is the case for younger pupils. Learning and teaching is customised to your group, to encourage intellectual curiosity, encouraging students to follow their interests and engage with their lessons. Digital learning On your first day in Ackworth’s Sixth Form, you will receive your very own iPad and Apple Pencil. They will be your constant companions throughout your A level studies. Ackworth’s technology revolution has seen the whole school, from Year 5 upwards, integrate a digital-first approach to learning in the classroom. Using Microsoft Teams, you can receive and submit work to your tutors, send a message to your project group, and receive updates from the Head of Sixth Form about upcoming events. The Apple TV’s that adorn the walls in every classroom mean you can share your work with your peers and collaborate on big ideas.
