Library in Polotsk
The space of a modern library is a multifunctional culturaleducational-communication environment that combines infrastructure to provide access to knowledge and information, mechanisms for communication, learning, creativity, and leisure. Essentially, it is an information-spatial complex shaping the educational leisure of the modern reader.
The building is located in the city of Polotsk at a T-shaped intersection on Marinenko Street. The design was influenced by the traffic flow on the street: the adjacent road literally cuts through the first floor, making it more open and airy.
Visually and functionally, the building is divided into two main blocks: the first floor consists of some welcoming spaces and a concert hall, while the second and third floors, stylistically unified with the exterior, serve the primary library function. These upper floors house various book storage areas, classrooms for club activities, and zones for contemporary art exhibitions.
The library building has three floors, with additional height provided by a sawtooth roof, whose form echoes the facade panels and is also reflected in the plans, repeating the diagonal lines.

Tree Rings
We framed the existing paths of people who daily shorten their way through the grove of trees. For people, this is no longer nature, but simply an obstacle that often prevents them from passing.
At the entrances, heavy portals were specially made to cover the trees that you will not see if you do not want to. There is also a special space in the middle of the corridor, from where a direct view of the trees opens through the window, you can admire them, away from people
The concept is a conscious decision to connect with nature, in refusing to be oversaturated. This pavilion is a framed space between the trees.
Individual residential building
The house has an elongated shape in plan, facilitated by the use of a wooden frame system. The primary exterior finish is wood, with the use of brick and concrete excluded.
Since the parents are artists, the house includes a separate studio, which can be accessed from the street, creating a sort of «ritual.» The studio is oriented to the north.
The first floor is entirely dedicated to the daytime area: the living room and kitchen. The second floor is quieter, which is reflected in both the rooms and the finishing materials.
Schools in Novopolotsk

3rd year project
The main direction in designing specialized schools at the present stage is: creation of flexible and universal volumetric-planning structures with a high level of adaptability, flexibly responding to the diversification of educational systems and programs, providing the possibility of multi-variant organization of educational institutions that meet the requirements of individualization and differentiation of education and their prospective development;
This school was designed for Novopolotsk, on the bank of the Western Dvina. The school is divided into two blocks: the southern educational block and the northern block, which houses the remaining functions. The two volumes are separated by an atrium-foyer, with a central staircase framing a tree.
