Blown Castor Oil and its Applications
General Specification Blown Castor Oil (BCO) is also known as castor stand oil, oxidized castor oil or polymerised castor oil. It is a pale golden yellow viscous liquid which is clear to all suspended matter. BCO is prepared by applying oxygen into it at temperature of 80-120c.it is a drying oil which is converted into oxidised oil through oxidative process. This process is also increase the viscosity & gravity of oil. Production BCO is produced by blowing air at elevated temperature. Hydroxyl, carboxyl and functional group are added and its formation is C-O-C & C-C cross links. Means in that cross linking across double bond of carbon and oxygen molecules are incorporated into this. Blown oil is thick, viscous & clear oil. Product Specification
