COLORADO CULTURAL CHAMPIONS
COLORADO ARTS ACTION NETWORK
Colorado Business Committee for the Arts (CBCA) launched a new statewide network of business and civic leaders who are supporting the arts in their local communities: Colorado Cultural Champions (CCC). The focus of CCC is on community education and leadership capacity through resource sharing, peer learning, community outreach and training related to advocacy for the arts throughout Colorado. Current CCC participants hail from Grand Junction to Pueblo, Golden to Steamboat Springs, and represent a range of industries including outdoor recreation, finance, education, hospitality and government. While the group has been meeting on Zoom monthly for a year, they hosted their first in-person retreat in Silverthorne, Colorado this September. Silverthorne and Summit County are making significant and strategic investments in their creative economy and cultural assets. CCC is looking for more members to represent northwest Colorado. The CCC program is generously supported by the Boettcher Foundation.
The easiest way to have your voice heard as an advocate for the arts is by joining CBCA’s Colorado Arts Action Network (CAAN). Enter your name and zip code and you will receive alerts on legislation and policy updates so you can take action and communicate with your elected officials to support the arts. This year, grassroots efforts helped increase funding for the arts nationally and within Colorado. You can make a difference.
