WELCOME TO ARTVENTUROUS SPRING ISSUE #37

The spring edition of Artventurous has been crafted in collaboration with talented artists, designers, photographers, institutions, and all who share a passion for creativity.

The pleasure of working at Artventurous is the continuous exchange of ideas with our fellow artists worldwide. This dialogue encompasses various topics such as the nature of art, artists’ patronage, politics, health, collecting, and culture.

For the spring edition, we are collaborating with Paramount Hotel Dubai and establishing the “FOR CREATIVE FROM THE CREATIVES” Artventurous & Paramount Art Awards at a prestigious event held in Dubai. The awards place significant emphasis on discovering and fostering creativity and supporting visionary artists with their creative concepts.

The event encompasses an art exhibition, the launch of Artventurous magazine’s red-carpet Gala night, and an award ceremony.

We’re aiming to give established and upcoming artists a chance to show their amazing skills. We’re pleased to feature some of the best artists from all over the world.

Our spring front cover comes from the hand of talented artist Sandeep Soni, inside reviews: Andrea Berthel, Ana Villar, Angelica Lenzen, Ceci Brook, Liliana Teruel, Leilani Euphrosyne, Christine Elojeil, Gesere, Lola Llinares, Jose Luis Ramirez, Nathalie Moulinet, Rukni, Rita Madeleine Loewenthal, Giuseppe Gianotti, Yulianna Kirillova, Dina suhov, fineartshippers, Katy Loehmeyer, Osama Elolemi, Jivan Hovhannisian, Rafah Abdulrazzak, Pinar Tuba Bicmen, Héctor Valdes, Mona Dash, back cover by Spanish artist Salustiano.

SANDEEP SONI

PLEASANT MOMENT’S OF CONTEMPLATION

When Sandeep Soni, who has exhibited internationally in Dubai and New York, speaks of himself as an amateur artist, it is worth bearing in mind that.

He loves many different areas of life: visual arts, music, traveling, and cooking. The ability to create can be realized in any field, and the author invites every viewer to follow this path and discover the creativity within themselves. In his paintings, Sandeep teaches us to pay attention to detail: his eye catches the bend of a guitar, a duo of glasses, a flower, and a toe -from the small details. He creates an intimate, cozy world. It’s precisely such pleasant moments of contemplation of simple things that help a person find a foothold in turbulent times.

How would you describe your art?

Art, for me, is a way of life that we can apply in any work we do. I believe that the art of living drives us to do various interesting things and brings innovations, creativity, and freshness to our work. I believe in connecting with people while exploring ideas and art. It uncovers the hidden aspects of art that fit our life, inspirations, and passion. My art incorporates elements of stories, surrealism, fantasy, intellect, science, imagination, love, and life. I aim to bring smiles, positivity, vibrancy, and realization to the beauty of life around us for my viewers. When I paint, I am driven by a subconscious desire to live life in the purest form while sharing my feelings with others. This feeling drives me to add elements of stories, surrealism, fantasy, intellect, science, imagination, love, life, and many more into my art. I enjoy many art aspects such as playing guitar and ukulele, graphic designing, video editing, practicing yoga, ma-

king origami objects, photography, cooking, traveling, reading, doing everything, doing nothing & essentially art in any form.

What about your creations, are rebellious, unconventional, or unusual?

My creations can be considered unconventional since they carry surrealistic and intellectual elements embedded with expressionism, stories, imagination, nature, science, fantasy, love, and much more driven by a subconscious desire to live the moment.

What sets your art apart?

My artworks are unique in the sense that they provoke a deep thought process in the viewer’s mind, which makes them travel the world of the subconscious in their perspective while feeling my imagination and perspective. I aim to inspire the viewers to live life to its fullest while learning from the past and preparing for the future. The stories in my artworks involve our core experience about life in terms of success, failures, and determinations and aim to inspire the viewers to

The Tree of Life Welcoming

choose the positive aspect of life, while not overlooking the role of negative aspects. My life motto of “Carpe Diem” makes me put the colors on canvas to convey the message to live the moment to its fullest.

Has your artistic journey had a deliberate direction, or did it simply gradually evolve in whatever direction it found?

My artistic journey had a deliberate direction as I had strong desires to learn and attempt various things from my childhood.

Whether it notes of music, intricate patterns in trees and leaves, movements of birds and animals, colors of sky, mountains and oceans, physics and mathematics in everyday things around us, shapes of living entities, intricacies of the cosmic world, the human mind and body dynamics, the art of yoga and meditation, complexities of computers and machines, geometries of objects, textures on the surfaces, etc., these all inspired me to attempt new skills. I wanted to observe everything around us and learn from it. This desire made me attempt and

learn many things such as music, Sanskrit, cooking, yoga, chess, rubric cubes, physics, mathematics, data science, philosophy, painting, origami, graphic design, photography, video editing, engineering, and many more. These desires, skills, and life experiences inspired me to attempt art from the age of 6 years to express my imagination and perspectives on canvas.

Who are your main artists’ influences?

My artists’ influences are everything and everyone, whether present or past. I get inspired by various stories, life experiences, skills, innovations, successes, failures, personalities, subjects, and objects. To name a few, Einstein’s relativity, Picasso’s cubist art, Shiva’s stories, yoga and meditations, Mozart and Beethoven’s music, Leonardo Da Vinci’s imaginations, Salvador Dali’s surrealistic art, Piet Mondrian’s abstracts, Jackson Pollock’s expressionism, Ayn Rand’s objectivism, etc. Apart from these, I deeply get inspired by nature around us, as it is the greatest art, we see every moment. It cons-

tantly changes and evolves into something new. Reflections on mountains, the sound of ocean waves, the rhythms and colors of trees and plants, the dynamism of birds and animals, etc. inspire me every day.

Which are your top five favorite Artists of all time?

Picasso, Salvador Dali, Piet Mondrian, Jackson Pollock, Leonardo Da Vinci.

What are your next projects?

I am working on many commissions in the coming months. I am also planning to continue exhibiting my art through various exhibitions and art fairs in the region and abroad while traveling a while and experiencing newer aspects of life. I am planning to do a few solo exhibitions this year too. In May 2024, I am participating in World Art Dubai with my solo booth and large artwork. On other skills, I plan to focus more on my guitar and ukulele this year to create some music and perform around. I am also targeting to learn new music skills such as violin, Oud and Harmonica.

LOLA LLINARES

paintings that give life a meaning

The pictorial work of Lola Llinares is characterized by her great mastery of technique, both in her series on nature, abstractions, and landscapes as well as her portraits and still life. There is a common thread that characterizes her pictorial discourse, which is based on a precise mastery of textures and materials, interest in chromatic impressionism, very elaborate, warm, and highly expressive. Her abstract series is rich and nourished, deepening in the ability to delve into the mystery that gives meaning to life. In this context, her dedication to matter is important, as a basis for expanding the composition. In the still life series, she seeks to innovate in the way he approaches both the composition and her description of that which inspires her to paint. She is not interested in describing reality in detail, but in presenting allusions of it that generate suggestive and warm atmospheres. Her landscapes are elaborated, standing out for their treatment of color and light, as well as for exhibiting a precise technique. Her portraits, although descriptive, stand out because they go deep into the person they represent, especially in the emotional aspect. There is an evident connection between the series that is based on her treatment of color, the way she paints, the direct way of approaching the composition, and the dialogue she establishes with the reality from which she draws her inspiration, transforming it in such a way that it empowers to generate a new vision of it, but which, nevertheless, is as real as it is.

International artist with work in different Spanish museums and private collections in America, Europe, and Asia, she is also director of the Art Gallery Portal a l’Art.

ANDREA BERTHEL

Canned Koi Cosmos

Andrea Berthel calls her artistic works “Canned Koi Cosmos”. In each tin can (hello to Andy Warhol), as on a separate planet, a dramatic event unfolds. Silent and cold-blooded fish, at the behest of Andrea, begin to preach, sing, and scream in fear. Koi in Japan and China usually symbolize good luck and abundance; sometimes appear in funny scenes. However, Andrea Berthel’s works rather continue the tradition of European and American caricatures of the 19th and 20th centuries, where animal images were widely used. The artist speaks out on sensitive social and political topics, but her criticism is full of humor, not anger; empathy, not contempt for the heroes.

Berthel’s artworks are captivating with their colorfulness and hold their attention thanks to their nuances and subtle details. Andrea is fluent in oil, acrylic, ink, and knows perfectly how to work with color and convey textures. She hopes to find in the viewer not only a witty interlocutor but also a connoisseur of her artistic talent. It is no coincidence that the artist is a frequent guest at exhibitions and art fairs in the USA, Europe, and China.

Fish that are bred for fun or slaughter are both a product of a consumer society, representatives of this society, and the creators of the same society in the future. Cute, funny, narrow-minded... Maybe one day we will eventually evolve into humans. All this deep philosophy can be drawn from the artistic works of Andrea Berthel.

The Kamasutra Series started like some of the other paintings with the alliteration of the letter K. Of course Kamasutra, the art of love, was not far. The little colorful squares can be combined. The series is open to more ideas and exists printed on dibond in 7,874’.

ANGELICA LENZEN

Connecting the World with Light

The photographic work of the German creator Angélica Lenzen is subtle, seeking to express the intelligence and inner essence of everything that exists from vibration, light energy, gesture, and movement.

The artist works in different formats and supports, always delving into the importance and impact of light in the environments in which she works.

Light painting tools are used to create contrast and harmony with the captured snapshot of reality.

The result is a creative production full of fabrics, meshes, frameworks, structures, gestures in space, and subtle aerial interconnections with special lighting, with a predominance of gold, silver, yellow, blue, white, red, and violet. Light art is expressed with total freedom, presenting us with a new reality that exists and that we do not see but that the photographer artist is responsible for showing us with complete clarity, seeking to transform spaces by transmitting clarity to the lives and vital environments of each one.

International creator, she participates in fairs and exhibits in art galleries, especially in Europe and America. In her artistic production, she perfectly combines the ability to generate works of great creative power with others that harmonize with the dynamics of interior design.

CHRISTINE ELOJEIL

Expressiveness and search for the emotional essence

The international Lebanese artist constantly seeks expressiveness and captures emotions as a premise through her painting.

Fascinated by masks, she participates in the Venice exhibition on this topic, where she delves into the mystery that they always contain. Plants, nature, the figure of women, and the sea are themes that we also find in her artistic production.

She concentrates on the theme, using color to give it certain singularities. Everything arises from her desire to connect with that which has connotations that enhance beauty, aesthetics, and the intrinsic expressive force in the maelstrom of existence.

She constructs her painting in such a way that highlights the strength and energy especially feminine figures and faces. In certain pictorial works, she presents more austere and simple compositions, if the expository narrative suggests so. The important thing is that it always tries to promote dialogue between material, shape, composition, and color.

On the other hand, in most of her pictorial series a certain halo of mystery stands out, looks, characters, the figure of the woman, all wrapped in a kind of question that forces us to ask ourselves if there is something within which we should highlight in an increasingly cold world.

In Search of Perfection

Fine Art Shippers is thrilled to present artist Yulianna Kirillova. Born in a small town on the Baltic Sea, she now lives and works in Moscow. She developed a unique technique working with colored pencils, in which she created her highly detailed drawings. The artist also explores pastel, oil, and mixed-media abstract painting. Her upcoming exhibition is centered around the theme of Balinese birds.

“Upon reaching a certain point in art, you often start looking for new insights and inspirations, turning to your innermost thoughts and experiences. As banal as it may appear, the real gems are often hidden in plain sight.

In our fast-paced world, brimming with events and encounters, timeless things are those that were created a long, long time ago, and they are not manmade. If humanity pursues perfection, vying with nature, it will always remain in a secondary role. Nothing we invent can surpass the perfection and originality of nature. Flora and fauna contain everything from realism to abstraction. The intricate patterns of bird feathers can outshine the efforts of even the most brilliant artists working collectively. The combination of colors, textures, and shapes found in nature is truly unparalleled. Nature is the most remarkable artist in the universe and a source of unwavering inspiration for us all. As an artist, I strive to connect with this fragile beauty, revealing its unspoken poetry and inherent wisdom.”

PASCAL EGGERSTEDT

The art of hospitality

General Manager of Paramount Hotel Dubai

Tell us about your journey in the hospitality industry, where did it all begin and how did you progress your career to where you are today?

With pleasure! I knew from a very young age that I wanted to work in hospitality, fascinated by the elegance of 5-star hotels and a desire to explore the world. After obtaining my degree in Hotel Management from The Hotel School The Hague in the Netherlands, I began my career in Thailand.

Over the next 7 years in the Asia Pacific, I worked in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Indonesia, then spent 4 years in London. These experiences provided valuable insights in hotel operations and corporate roles with leading international brands. From the UK, I moved to the Middle East, starting in Dubai. After roles in Lebanon, Oman, Bahrain, and Qatar, returning to the UAE feels like coming home, especially witnessing Dubai’s incredible journey, particularly after the challenges of Covid. Being part of the launch and growth of the Paramount Hotel brand is truly rewarding. Life is about experiences, and I feel blessed to have had opportunities to learn about the global hospitality business and immerse myself in diverse cultures worldwide.

It seems you are excited to discover new places. Are you still excited to discover new destinations? Tell us about your hotel destinations and what do you think it offers to your guests.

My love for exploring new places aligns seamlessly with our hotel’s essence. The excitement of exploration continues to fuel my passion. Paramount Hotel Dubai, a collaboration between industry giants DAMAC and Paramount Pictures, stands as a beacon of luxury lifestyle hospitality. We offer our guests, whom we affectionately call “leading stars,” a chance to step into the realm of iconic characters. Whether residing in a suite reminiscent of Don Corleone’s abode or experiencing Hollywood-worthy ceremonies in our screening room, every detail crafts a world where reality meets cinema. Pacific Groove features a wood fire grill giving a unique smoky flavor, while Flashback is a Speakeasy, home to our award-winning murder mystery immersive experience. Malibu Deck is a resort-style pool by day and transforms into a cool urban restaurant & lounge by night. At Paramount Hotel Dubai, we create an environment that transcends the mundane, where every corner tells a story and every service is a carefully crafted scene. Guests are protagonists in their unique narratives, ensuring memorable moments and experiences to treasure.

In terms of excitement and inspiration, what is it that gives you the passion for the role as a general manager of Paramount?

The excitement stems from curating experiences that transcend the ordinary. Being at

the helm of Paramount Hotel Dubai allows me to merge my passion for hospitality with the thrill of cinema. Directing a narrative where guests become the stars in their film adds a unique dimension to my role as the “Film Director” of Paramount Hotel Dubai. The unparalleled fusion of luxury hospitality and cinematic enchantment creates an environment where every guest interaction is not just a service but a scene in their personal blockbuster. Working as the General Manager in a cinematic hotel like Paramount is more than a profession; it’s a creative endeavor. The role goes beyond managing operations; it involves orchestrating an immersive experience where guests play leading roles in their stay. The inspiration comes from crafting a setting where every detail, from the lobby’s grandeur to the themed suites, contributes to a storyline that unfolds with each guest’s journey.

What do you find inspiring about working in hospitality?

Hospitality, to me, is a canvas where each guest interaction becomes an opportunity to create memorable experiences. At Paramount Hotel Dubai, the inspiration is drawn not just from traditional hospitality but from the realms of Hollywood’s golden age. Our cinematic legacy creates a stage where every detail, every service, is a brushstroke contributing to a masterpiece of guest satisfaction. We pride ourselves on finding ways to work

34 ARTVENTUROUS ART & DESIGN MAGAZINE

together with our teams to deliver unique & emotional experiences to our guests that they will cherish for life.

What aspects make this hotel unique in the UAE? Our uniqueness lies in our creative & thematic approach. From our team members being named as a “cast” to a luxury screening room for events & ceremonies, we breathe life into the world of Paramount. The ambiance, soundtracks, and check-in experience immerse guests in cinematic magic, setting us apart in hospitality. Everything at Paramount Hotel Dubai is done with a creative approach, from the music to the cinematic designs and unique fragrance. We stand as a unique gem, blending architectural brilliance with cinematic magic. At our core is the CREATE service culture, elevating cast members beyond traditional roles. Our 820 stunning rooms & suites serve as chapters in a larger-than-life story. The lobby, awarded the 5-star “Lobby of the Year Award,” exudes Hollywood elegance. Themed rooms transport guests into the enchanting world of the silver screen. From tone of voice to themed suites, every detail is a brushstroke in hospitality’s masterpiece.

Do you have any key predictions for changes you expect in the hotel industry?

I believe a significant shift is imminent with the integration of AI technology. Embracing AI can revolutionize guest experiences, from personalized services to efficient operations, enhancing the overall hospitality landscape. At DAMAC and Paramount Hotel Dubai, we pride ourselves on being at the technological forefront, consistently incorporating AI and state-of-the-art technology to elevate the guest experience. From the moment of arri-

val, our welcome lobby, with its 360-degree floor-to-ceiling screens, entices guests into a world where reality blurs into the cinematic universe of Paramount. We are already heavily using AI and look forward to seeing more from it in the future. Our Murder Mystery shows are ahead of their time; digital innovation is key to the suspense. Large digital screens, cleverly disguised as framed photographs, come alive with AI-generated por-

traits containing hidden clues integral to unraveling the plot. The AI applications extend to our concert series held in the screening room, where immersive backdrops captivate the audience. By using projection mapping and AI, we enhance the 3D effects, making each performance a visually stunning event. AI is not just a passing trend at the Paramount Hotel Dubai; it’s a revolution in guest immersion and storytelling. We are excited to see where this innovation will take hospitality in the future.

What exactly is a cinematic hotel, and what is the difference with a standard hotel chain?

A cinematic hotel is a fusion of luxury hospitality and the magic of movies. Every aspect, from check-in to room corridors, is carefully designed to evoke the sensation of being in a film. Unlike standard hotel chains, we draw inspiration from cinema’s rich history, ensuring that every guest feels like the leading star in their cinematic setting. Every guest is a ‘Star’, whether staying for a week or joining us for dinner. We adopted film lingo such as ‘Cast’ for our team members, key cards are called ‘Access Passes’, daily schedules are called ‘Call Sheets’, trainings are ‘Rehearsals’, back and front of house are named ‘Back and Front Stage’. We embrace a Fashion-forward and diverse approach. In a standard hotel environment, employees are expected to blend into the background, at Paramount, our cast is here to support your every need to script your stay with us. We are performers setting your stage. We have open kitchen concepts in each one of our outlets because we believe that the art of cooking is like filmmaking and is a creative process driven by a group of talented innovators with a true commit-

ment to their craft. Our restaurants & lounges focus on giving these artists a platform to express themselves and provide guests with new and exciting culinary experiences. Our Spa and recreational facilities allow you to “Pause” time and feel like a Hollywood star for the day. We offer our leading stars a state-of-the-art Gym, I can confidently say one of the best gyms in the city because in Hollywood fitness is essential, just like pamper-

ing. That’s why we developed our unique Spa treatments such as the “Hollywood facial.” A great testament to the success of our first Paramount Hotel in Dubai is that we launched a second Paramount Hotel in the city called “Paramount Hotel Midtown” that has made huge waves in the Dubai hotel scene since its opening!

the game between temptation and prohibition

My works call to be touched, and experienced, generating a game between temptation and prohibition. When painting, I push my feelings to the limit, diving into my own experience even if it hurts. I believe that in abstract art there are no mistakes, everything is learning. Beauty can arise at the least expected moment and in an unplanned way. I make energetic and broad strokes, preferring to work directly on the canvas, pouring the acrylic paint on it, extracting shapes, and investigating combinations. I use brushes very little; on various occasions I use materials that would normally be discarded, to give them a second life, as a way of caring for the environment. I often resort to gold and bronze colors because I consider them to be the influence of the Middle East in my life. For me, it is essential to work with textures and large layers of paint, and then reveal part of the colors that are

underneath, with different techniques. Ultimately, I let myself be guided by textures, colors, and transformations.

I need my work to be fluid. When I paint, I move away from perfection, because I don’t want to reproduce but to transmit. If I see too much perfection in an image, I do some procedure to break that result.

My inspiration is fed by the contemplation of certain landscapes, images that arise from my mind, music, and significant facts of reality.

I try to pour my unconscious into my creation. In my case, working in abstract art means perpetuating an emotion, keeping a fact in memory, or paying homage to an experience, often accompanying my works with an enigmatic or positive description.

The painting represents a vital need with a reward in that very act.

MONA DASH

The meticulous detail and the symbolism

Mona Dash, a multidisciplinary artist, creates highly detailed and symbolic surrealist works. She strives to capture the essence of reality while remaining faithful to the fantastical and imaginative elements that often surpass fiction. A perfectionist, she derives great achievements from the faces of her characters, the hands, and the faces of men, women, and animals. These elements seem to come alive, becoming a reference point for the emotions that the artist conveys to the viewer through her exquisite and meticulous drawing technique. She consistently strives for harmony in her expressions, enhancing the beauty of her subjects while also allowing herself to heighten the emotional and poetic impact of her compositions. Her patient and meticulous approach ensures that each piece is treated with the utmost care and attention.

She plays with shading, light and dark, introducing light in meticulous compositions, looking for perfection, and allowing herself to investigate the aspects, in the reflexive dynamics of the subtle moments that make up the dreamlike. In this context the symbol is fundamental to give character to her characters, to understand them in greater depth, and to define the meaning that guides them in their existence.

JOSÉ LUIS RAMÍREZ

Creativity without limits

The paintings of José Luis Ramez depict ordinary people in public places in his hometown, and it is in the painting where that reality collides with waking consciousness, with what exists and what doesn’t, resulting in the coexistence of characters that randomly emerge from his imagination as a caricature, continually recalling his childhood memories.

Jose´s painting is fun, poetically hostile, but at the same time kind. One can engage in a conversation with an older adult or with a child, making it a truly memorable experience.

The artist enjoys taking his painting out of the aesthetic in which it finds itself, making it not fall into the comfort of taste. That is when he floods it with studs and scratches with total freedom. He engages in the rigor of his emotions by utilizing the diverse resources at his disposal, thereby avoiding any limitations on his creativity.

Creativity: The Flowers of Peace…..

Beate Böer, who was born in the city of Schramberg in the Blackforest, is a persistent traveler who possesses a strong passion for painting. She creates floral compositions in acrylic on canvas in various sizes, resembling the wings of angels, and conveys inner peace, the vibration of the soul, and the pursuit of a free life.

Her creations are colorful, delving into the essence of the spiritual, as a vital guide to existence, using color generously but, at the same time, without abusing material concentration. The attractive and powerful flora of Hawaii stands out in her pictorial production, especially orchids, hibiscus, and frangipani.

Leilani´s painting is subtle, always seeking the inner connection with the viewer, trying to generate a special harmony that explains the link between the recipient and the

Shaping (Wo)men’s Freedom…

The French painter and sculptor explores the emotional subtleties of existence and the concept of freedom, with a particular focus on women’s freedom.

As a versatile artist, she specializes primarily in painting and sculpture, exploring a diverse range of materials and techniques.

Currently, she employs a mixed-collage approach for the background of her canvases, juxtaposing various materials to create depth and texture, while painting the main characters using brushes to achieve a stencil effect.

Her series, Neo-Pop Art, titled “Glam’Urban,” strives to tell stories, blending generic and contextual pages, including newspaper clippings and book pages, to contextualize and narrate the central character’s story.

In her sculptural projects, she utilizes clay, bronze, and, more recently, epoxy resin, creating subjects that are both abstract and figurative, captivating the viewer’s imagination.

With an insatiable curiosity for new disciplines and a penchant for innovative combinations, the artist meticulously hones her technical skills, seeking to imbue her creations with profound emotional resonance.

Through her work, she endeavors to convey both the strength and delicacy inherent in the lives of her characters. Nathalie primarily showcases her creations in galleries across Europe and the United States, transcending cultural boundaries and fostering dialogue through her art.

Color Codes

Communication between colors is of different complexity and capacity based on a natural agreement of the pigments. They also define the relationship of shapes and forms.

Color codes don’t exist in a pure form. Their interaction is based on the either emotional or intellectual interpretation of the viewer.

The coding of forms and colors is also an outstanding part of cultures and their interpretation of these. Every individual based on his/her cultural background reflects on colors, shapes, and forms differently.

And this makes our world so colorful …

KATJA LOHMEYER

Flight of fantasy

Katja Lohmeyer is an abstract artist who paints unusual female images. Her abstract-figurative paintings look fresh, boldly, and extraordinary. Expressive, bright strokes create the illusion of life and movement. The triumph of color is striking, and the metaphorical nature and depth of the images attract attention.

Often, before applying the final acrylic strokes, the artist intuitively and confidently works with a simple pencil. Carefully calibrated soft organic forms in her paintings seem to oppose abstract sweeping chaotic stripes, spots, splashes, and uneven lines. In her artistic practice, Katja deals with issues such as loneliness, the desire for an unattainable ideal, and inner harmony. The world she creates is not an abstract image of our world in space and time. This is the inner world in which thought, emotions, freedom of consciousness, and flight of fantasy are the keys to her creative process.

Katja strives to ensure that her art transmits not just her inner world. But also, so that her paintings remain open to interpretation, the viewer can see something even she is unaware of.

SALUSTIANO REDUCTIONISM, BEAUTY, AND SPIRITUALITY

(The shortest distance between two points is the look.)

My painting is a reductionist. I work with only three elements: background (empty), figure, and composition. It doesn’t even have a specific theme or meaning, it’s open reading. And these three elements are at the service of Beauty and Spirituality exclusively.

Why reductionist?

In the novel Crime and Punishment, for example, Dostoevsky tells us everything that happens inside and outside the character and the action, so that the reader can only passively enjoy the story. On the other hand, in a Japanese haiku, with a few words the poet creates a universe where it is the viewer who must unite them, actively

becoming a co-author of the work. This is why my work is intended to be like a haiku. Similarly, for me, an artist is the subject who cooks a plate, but it is the viewer who must eat it and do the digestion for himself; it is the only way that art feeds us.

Why beauty?

The laws that govern Beauty are discovered, not invented. The Golden Ratio, which exists in nature, is a perfect and mysterious proportion because it participates in everything created, it is something like a Divine mark. When the Greeks studied it, they took it as the canon of perfect beauty. It is a law because it is universally applicable, and we see it as beautiful because we participate

in it. Kepler called this number the Divine Proportion because it contained the beauty that God has given to things.

Why spirituality?

Spirituality but in the most primitive sense of the concept. One of the first religious manifestations has to do with art and magic. The man of Cro-Magnon represented in the caves everything he wished to be given to him by the deities. I can say that my paintings are prayers, and, like the caveman, I paint what I want to possess. They painted their desires, and I represent mine, which is an ideal, serene world, where they talk about the Beauty is a synonym for the Absolute Good.

WITNESS of THE WORLD

Giuseppe Giannotti is a Swiss-Italian journalist and photographer, who lives and works in Switzerland and Italy. Belonging to a Jewish family, he worked as a journalist in

a daily newspaper for 40 years, then he began to dedicate more and more time to his big passion: photography. In 2019 he published his first photografic book, “Life”, in

which he offered 180 images taken around the world. In 2022 he published a second photographic book, “Women”, dedicated to the female world. In this book, he presents 240 pictures of women from 80 countries. In his works, Giuseppe Giannotti was initially inspired by the famous French photojournalist Henry Cartier-Bresson, considered the father of street photography, capturing images of daily life as an attentive witness of our time. Then he concentrated his attention on the female world, still taking images of everyday life, but also dedicating his attention to studio portraits, trying to show elegance, and femininity, in search of looks, emotions, and feelings.

In this magazine, you can see some of his pictures, two of them will be shown at the Paramount Hotel Dubai on March, the 10th, 2024.

A new type of work will be presented in April at Art Expo New York. Inspired by the shots of the great photographers Helmut Newton and David Hamilton, masters of black and white photography, Giuseppe Giannotti will exhibit black and white female artistic nude photographs. A new challenge to capture the attention of the qualified New York public.

FRANCISCA BLÁZQUEZ

72 names of God

Francisca Blázquez, a renowned figure in the field of cosmic and spiritual work, has continued her exploration into the world of art. She continues to explore her life through the series of life cycles based on peace, incorporating the 72 sacred names of God as per the Kabbalah. This process results in a work that is both visually captivating and spiritually uplifting. The Hebrew people were given the name of God by God himself.

The vibration that is produced when pronouncing them, or in this case, painting them, generates a surge of human consciousness, both spiritually and materially.

The artist, a Madrid-based artist who has held over 400 exhibitions across 17 countries on three continents, will explore the

potential implications of the 72 names. Her work traverses this journey, encompassing aspects such as creativity, health, artistry, spirituality, finances, relationships, and society at large.

Amidst the ongoing global instability, characterized by ongoing wars and conflicts in various regions of Africa, Asia, and Europe, Francisca Blázquez, a versatile artist renowned for her captivating animations such as the Plaza Dalí in Madrid and her exquisite jewelry collections inspired by the five elements, nature, love, and transformative energy, remains dedicated to her artistic exploration and research, which has been particularly significant in recent years. This large-format pictorial work encompasses

the creation of harmonious inner and outer energy, representing individual peace and collective harmony. This is achieved through spiritual practices, resulting in spectacular cosmic paintings that convey an energetic force, subtly yet profoundly, transforming environments, people, living beings, and places where they reside.

In collaboration with the international diplomatic sector, Francisca continues her series of exhibitions in embassies from all countries worldwide to promote harmony and peace globally.

PINAR TUBA BICMEN

Woman expressive allegory

The Turkish artist, Pinar Tuba Bicmen, engages in expressive figurative painting, emphasizing the allegorical and symbolic aspects. Engaged with the discourse of femininity, she pays a permanent tribute to various women across her life or because of her imagination. She places particular emphasis on describing the female figure as the primary axis for both her pictorial discourse and her existence. Pinar meticulously describes the inherent characteristics of each female character, delving into the most essential details. Her narrative discourse plays a significant role as it allows her to articulate herself creatively and introduces the viewer to the unique elements that her

world can offer. This is accomplished through the use of allegorical, symbolic, or in some cases, purely descriptive elements, which serve as an introduction to the descriptive visual language. Her characters possess a unique aura of mystery that frequently associates them with her, she employs sober hues, a variety of shades, blacks, whites, oranges, and other distinctive colors to accentuate a profound atmosphere that characterizes the individual as she is and consequently their respect due to her.

The cube is a three-dimensional SQUARE; it is a symbol of stability and permanence, of geometric perfection. It represents the final stage of a cycle of immobility, it can be seen as the truth because it looks the same from any perspective, it is commonly thought of as the counterpart of the sphere. It also represents in a physical way the labels imposed on Barbie, those of object woman or trophy woman; by using beauty, represented in Barbie’s iconography, we can circumvent censorship and talk about more challenging issues”.

Transforming ourselves Through the purity of our children

She is a six-year-old young artist characterized by cheerful interpretations of her dreams and a childhood daily life with a unique and fresh style. With an amazing ability to draw and describe everything she sees; Sofia seems to do it effortlessly. Her

work can be described as the colorful universe of a child. Her father in addition to encouraging her to develop her creativity is learning with her in a process that he calls “The unlearning process”. In our era of digital disruption, this goal is more important than ever. In every aspect of our lives, we are operating with mental models that have grown outdated or obsolete. To embrace the new logic of value, we must look at our kids and learn from them. God has given us the power and wisdom to do something good for humanity. We must look through our kids’ eyes to fulfill the world with kindness, purity, innocence, sensibility, humility, and love to reconnect with Mother Nature in a new sensitive adventure. Redesigning our essence and the purity that lives within our souls. We are losing our way. And the better way to reconnect with the world we live in is with a purpose and understanding to rise together in a better world for future generations. We must think about love, empathy, hope, education, health, sustainability, and equality aiming to inspire the reconnection of humanity with our planet for a better equal future for our children. Art Heart is a project that Sofia and Will Yaya are working on to tell a story about Sofia’s perception of the world. She gives ideas and they together materialize those ideas, looking at the world through her innocence and pure eyes. With this project, they are embracing a new logic of values and respect for the planet and humanity. Transforming ourselves Through the purity of our children.

HÉCTOR VALDÉS

Asanas references to yoga tradition

Hector Valdes, a Chilean plastic surgeon and sculptor, creates sculptures that show various postures of Asana. These are references to the yoga tradition. By combining matter and spirit, structure, and configuration from a deep state of meditation, he gives power to our body. The positions of our bodies and different postures define a way to strengthen ourselves while maintaining balance in life.

The attainment of inner tranquility necessitates harmony. The essence is what distinguishes between the exterior and interior, while the uppermost realm represents the lower domain. A state of equilibrium is achieved through a vital dynamic that embodies the transcendence of the internal self to project ourselves externally. Spiritual advancement is impossible if we remain confined within the framework alone, but we must utilize it to disseminate its structure to establish a methodology for facing existence that enables us to progress toward other advanced realities.

Hector’s sculptures are crafted in bronze and embellished with distinct patinas. Valdes integrates a formal approach to perceiving the stages of consciousness along with a strategy of interacting with all natural entities throughout all dimensions and angles. The existence is founded on the possibility of constructing bridges that can be utilized for improvement and the creation of new, more advanced realities. These realities are not always structural, but they possess significant power.

Hector’s work is exquisitely delicate and subtle, incorporating constant homage to the female figure. His aim is consistently to craft a precise approach to her beauty, both within and beyond the confines of his art. The woman represents the world and serves as its driving force. Héctor, an artist, strives to embody himself authentically, utilizing his artistic, medical, and business expertise to promote his artwork. He is also looking for a holistic approach to mindfulness that would give him a stable attitude and position in life on a physical, mental, and emotional level.

SHAHI DAYEKH

Personal experiences and a deeper understanding of the world

Shahi Dayekh is a contemporary artist who uses her imagination to depict our rapidly changing world and human emotions, to elevate society. Her journey in the art world began during her childhood—she was passionate about expressing people’s stories through her drawings. Over time, she became more serious about her art, striving to improve her skills and techniques.

While she was studying for a master’s degree in international law, peace and conflict resolution, and volunteering with an NGO, she kept on developing her art. This academic path broadened her perspective, letting the artwork take a deeper look at global issues and giving it a more meaningful storytelling approach. As a humanitarian artist, combining her passion for art with academic knowledge has molded her creations, each stroke of the brush or spatula reflecting both personal experiences and a deeper understanding of the world.

Shahi’s main inspiration comes from the diverse stories and experiences of people that impact her deeply. The resilience, struggles, and hope she witnesses in individuals facing challenges move and inspire. Their stories drive her to create art that mirrors their experiences, emotions, and inner thoughts. The artist aims to spread light on important issues and advocate for positive change to raise awareness, foster empathy, and contribute to a more compassionate and understanding society. In recent paintings, Shahi focuses on cosmology and blooms to understand humanity, exploring how cosmology reflects deeper human aspects, like the courage to explore the unknown and the importance of self-development. The blooms represent life’s overlooked virtues like enjoying life, our daily glimmers, our senses, nature’s beauty, and good health. They remind viewers of the importance of these often-unnoticed elements in our lives.

The artist is trying to get across the message that despite our differences, we’re all connected and have so much to give. Her aim is for people to connect with her art, find parts of their own lives in it, and feel a sense of unity while understanding our shared human experiences.
