DIRECTOR’S FOREWORD Love. The gift that keeps on giving. What unites us together for the 6th edition of Art Vancouver: the love of art. Whether it be with a piece of clay, brush, or pencil, we all have the capacity to create love. To say something through a full scale of colour or none at all, it is art which gives a voice to anyone who wishes to use it. And it is only when you have the courage to share and admire these gifts that an event like Art Vancouver is made possible. Surrounding ourselves with original art in our own homes, the loving energy used to create the art emanates into our space. Uniting nations through the power of art; one need look no further than this room to see our theme come to life. No booth is alike, nor do we want them to be. Because art allows us to explore and appreciate our differences rather than fear them, and it is that level of understanding that truly binds us together. Connection. Inspiration. Growth. That is what exists in this space. That is what art is about. And whether we have five exhibitors or five hundred, Art Vancouver will always be guided by the principles which make art so great.
