tephanie Holznecht made a transition from realism to abstract expressionism using acrylic on canvas as her primary tool of expression. Originally from the Southeast Coast of England, she has achieved great strides in the arts scene; her works are a raw expression of creative energy, an unbridled form of genius that pronounces itself in bold strokes of vivid colors. Holznecht uses heavy acrylic in combination with mediums including tempera, wax charcoal, Indian ink and even light acrylic, the result are vibrant colorful compositions dancing with movement and simultaneous contrast. The white part of the canvas forms an integral part of these pieces, contrasting the bold colors with the grounding essence of the white background. Holznecht’s work embodies her artistic freedom; her pieces portray fluid forms that represent her perception of the unseen forces that unknowingly form the fabric of our physical environment.
