.01 About & FAQ Mission statement: “To showcase Oviedo High School student work in all forms of art & literature through both print and digital mediums” Arts Unleashed was started in 2009 by Deborah Jepson’s Multi Media Technology class. Last year the publication represented over 60 student’s art & literature from OHS. What type of work can students submit? Students can submit any work that fits in one of these four categories: Literature, Music, Performance, and Visual. When is the submission deadline? Deadline to submit is March 1st, 2011 Who can submit? Any student attending Oviedo High School can submit to the magazine.

Where can submission be dropped off? Students may submit their work online or in person although this year we encourage everyone to submit their work online at ArtsUnleashed.net. Submission forms can either be emailed (submit@artsunleashed.net) or turned in to Mrs. Jepson in room 5-020. Link to submission form: www.issuu.com/artsunleashed
.02 Online Experience With the Internet and social networking becoming a substantial part of teen’s everyday life, ArtsUnleashed.net is the addition to this year’s 2010 – 2011 OHS literary magazine. This site is unique in that it creates an environment for students to communicate about the work they have created with other students at Oviedo.
ArtsUnleashed.net 101 With a click of a button students can upload their own work to ArtsUnleashed.net and start exposing themselves to the community. Any form or art/literature can be uploaded to the site: videos, music, visuals, and literature. To get started students can create an account on the website which will allow them to have their own personal profile page.
VIDEO: To upload a video students should click the “Performance” link on the ArtsUnleashed.net website. Examples of videos to upload include: monologues, singing, dancing, tumbling, video production, plays, etc.
MUSIC: Any original music created by students can be uploaded to the site through the music player located on the homepage of ArtsUnleashed.net Currently there is no way for students to comment on each others original music but they can rate the music with stars.
VISUAL: Photos, paintings, drawings, sketches, ceramics, etc. all fit under this “Visual” category. To upload any visual art students must take a picture of their work and then upload it through the “Visual” link on the ArtsUnleashed.net website.
LITERATURE: All forms of literature are accepted for submission into the literary magazine although we ask that the word count be kept under 2000 words. To upload literature students should click the “Literature” link on the ArtsUnleashed.net website.
