I think one of the things that has been really amazing about being here and being within that kind of academic framework is it gives you the space to talk about things that you wouldn’t be able to talk about in your day to day job [...] and now I can see it underpinned in that academic theory it kind of gives you the confidence to go back to an organisation and maybe make those changes. I think it is vital in this industry to meet and talk to as many co-professionals as possible as so much relies on networking. I have left with contacts and experience that I know will be valuable in the future. I definitely feel as though I have expanded and developed my professional networks – within the academic sector, fundraising sector as well as with my peers.
