FUNDRAISING TRAINING COURSES

ARTS FUNDRAISING: THE FUNDAMENTALS NEW

Led by Amanda Rigali, Director of Strategic Development at Cause4, this workshop promises to demystify the world of fundraising and provide practical, achievable strategies for you to take forward. This session is suitable both for organisations and individuals. You’ll be introduced to the basics of fundraising, including legal structures, governance and writing a Case for Support. The training will give you ways into the three main strands of fundraising whatever your scale of operation: trusts and foundations; individual donors and business. Over the session you’ll be given practical advice, tips, ideas and confidence to begin, or further develop, your own fundraising practice. “ Amanda’s introduction to the Fundamentals of Fundraising was very clear, helpful and informative. Everyone left having learnt something useful for their organisations and with plenty of practical steps to take next. Highly recommended!” ANN WRIGHT, EXECUTIVE OFFICER, ARTS DERBYSHIRE

MAKING FRIENDS IN FUNDRAISING NEW

4

Whether your organisation has a pre-existing scheme, or you’re considering establishing some kind of regular giving scheme as a fundraising tool for the first time, there are plenty of things to assess when you are trying to increase income. Looking at case studies from all scales of performing and visual arts organisations, both building-based and touring, alongside festivals and museums, Sarah Gee will help you consider relationship building across organisations to underpin regular giving. From basic questions such as “What are we trying to achieve, and is this the best way to do it?” to “Can we claim Gift Aid?” this course will enable you to take a strategic look at membership programmes and increase return on investment.

SUPPORT FOR GROUPS & NETWORKS

SUPPORT FOR GROUPS & NETWORKS

We know that there are lots of fundraising groups and networks in place in the cultural sector, linking people through geography or sector area. We also know that networks can be fragile, dependent on one or two individuals, and subject to members having the time and money to attend meetings. We want to support groups or networks to arrange their own fundraising training event, conference, seminar or introductory meeting. To do this, we set aside some funding to pay some of the associated costs that arise from organising these events.

Apply online at artsfundraising.org.uk/ networks

BESPOKE TRAINING

So far we have supported 20 cultural fundraising networks across England. The next deadline for applications is Tuesday 3 May 2016, and activity will need to take place by the end of September 2016. Find out how to apply at artsfundraising.org.uk/networks

We are able to bring our training courses to locations convenient to you, and we can tailor the content to suit your particular needs. As well as our scheduled training courses, we are also able to deliver our existing training anywhere in England. If you would like us to come to you, and feel there is interest from a group of organisations in a particular location, please let us know.

Find out more at artsfundraising.org.uk/ bespoke-training 10

We can also create tailored courses for staff within individual organisations, or for staff across a group of organisations. If there is a particular topic you are interested in that we are not yet covering, please let us know. We would be happy to work with you to devise a course tailored for your own situation.
