Homage to Lady Godiva famous for her kindness, beauty and piety, legend has it that ambition took over her husband, she asked him to lower her taxes. The earl agreed, but on the condition that Lady Godiva tour Coventry on horseback, wearing nothing but her long hair. The lady did so, but not before agreeing with her neighbors that they would lock themselves in their houses so as not to disturb her in her nakedness.
