Computing with Creative Design BSc (Hons)
Bridge the gap between the technical and creative worlds to create innovative solutions to problems old and new.
This degree, run in collaboration with the Product Design degree in the Cardiff School of Art and Design (see page 58), will enable you to develop your computing skills with a particular focus on the creative and design opportunities that are presented within the discipline.
In addition to learning the fundamentals of developing computer-based and software-driven systems, you will be encouraged to incorporate modern product design thinking into your technical work.
You will be introduced to a wide range of technologies and tools that facilitate the design and creation of new hardware and software solutions, helping you develop your analytical abilities whilst looking at product design processes.

• Developing Quality Software and Systems
• Mobile and Web Technologies
• Engineering Science
• Advanced Web Programming

• Real world experience can be obtained as part of your study completing an optional sandwich year placement/industrial internship.

Course length: 3-5 years fulltime, dependent upon taking a foundation year (see page 166) and/or year-long sandwich placement
