Sport Coaching BSc (Hons)
Coaching is all about people. Our Sport Coaching degree will not only teach you what it takes to become a great coach but will give you the skills and toolset to lead, inspire and motivate others.
The degree aims to develop your understanding of the dynamic and complex interactions which exist within the coaching environment. The course will provide you with an insightful awareness of how theory from a range of areas can both inform and be informed by coaching practice in order to develop your critical and innovative problem-solving abilities. You’ll be able to apply your knowledge of the complex and dynamic nature of coaching and combine it with that gleaned from other disciplines such as sport and exercise science, ethics, cultural studies and performance analysis.
During the course, you will have a variety of opportunities to acquire qualifications associated with different National Governing Bodies. Through a range of practical sessions, work experience opportunities and placements you will foster an appreciation of how you influence and are influenced by coaches, athletes and significant others.
