Your future
• The degree is closely linked with the workforce planning requirements for NHS Wales, therefore offering an enhanced level of employability.
• Successful graduates will be eligible to apply for registration as a Biomedical Scientist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), further enhancing career opportunities in organisations such as the Health Protection Agency, National Blood Authority and Medical Research Council.
“Having a personal tutor meant that I felt supported throughout the academic year, and also when on placement. On placement, completion of the IBMS certificate of competence meant that I could go straight into work as a Biomedical Scientist after graduating, as opposed to having to complete further training before entering the world of work.”
