This degree in Management & Leadership is designed to build and enhance your skills and capabilities to become an effective future business leader.
This degree focuses on your personal and interpersonal competencies that meet the needs of industry, including: self-belief, awareness and motivation, intellectual skills in relation to management and leadership, adaptability, a growth mind-set and resilience.
You will strengthen and enrich your knowledge in a range of leadership, management and business areas, including strategy, marketing, finance, human resource management, entrepreneurship and personal development.
This degree contributes to career development through combining teaching, real life business and leadership with the development of key skills that employers are looking for. From the start of the degree, you will be encouraged to think about your career and employability and the Work Experience module in the second year offers further opportunities to gain practical experience. You will have access to inspirational speakers and a diverse network of successful business leaders, practitioners and entrepreneurs who will deliver workshops and lectures.

Designed specifically to provide you with the ability to work and research with increased independence, through exposure to theories, models and approaches to management and leadership. You will learn how to shape solutions and strategies and to think creatively to develop original and nuanced solutions to business problems. Typical modules include:

• You will be set up for success in obtaining management positions across the public, private and third/voluntary sectors. The course also enables graduates to apply for leadership development programmes with companies such as Network Rail, Deloitte and Dunelm.
