Our curriculum

Each of our undergraduate degree courses benefits from a unique curriculum made up of three elements designed to broaden your horizons, build your skills and prepare you for a creative career.

Subject

This is your specialism, your home during your time at university. Subject modules will immerse you in the practices, histories and theory of your chosen degree. You will be creatively and academically challenged, whilst building on your existing skills by taking part in studio practice projects, tutorials and workshops relevant to your discipline.

Field

Our interdisciplinary field modules are designed to make you look around from different perspectives, work on projects in collaboration with students from other courses, noticing differences and similarities and broadening your experiences.

Constellation

These modules introduce you to the wider world of ideas, theory and contextual studies within, outside and beyond art and design. You will learn how art & design contributes to and is influenced by a network of contemporary social, cultural, ethical, historical and philosophical settings.
