Applying for halls or private accommodation
Once you have decided to make us your first or insurance choice, you will need to apply online for halls accommodation from the beginning of April at: www.cardiffmet.ac.uk/ accommodation
If you would prefer accommodation in a private house, the Accommodation Office maintains a Landlord Register with landlords who meet all of the legislative requirements to let out their houses. We can also provide advice on contracts and what to look for.

Life in Halls
We aim to make living in halls one of the best experiences of your university life and to help you have an unforgettable experience we have an award-winning Residence Life programme.

When making your application, you can also submit your preferences as to what type of accommodation you are allocated. For example, if you are a Welsh speaker and wish to be housed with other Welsh speaking students we do, where possible, accommodate these requests. Alternatively, you may prefer to be in an alcohol free or quiet flat and we do our best to accommodate these requests based on demand.

“Our year-long calendar of weekly in-person and virtual events is aimed at first-year students in Cardiff Met halls. We’ve given our students tickets to Wales rugby matches, ice skating, film premieres, yoga, pizza nights, book clubs, FIFA tournaments, haircuts, day trips and numerous other social events, including volunteering and networking events. The great news is that this is all FREE!”
