The College has utilised a house system to support student connection since 1976. The year levels may change, but the House system is a constant throughout a young person’s College journey.

Our House system changed slightly at the start of 2023. This change addressed our goal to have structures and processes that strengthen the feelings of connectedness within our College. The change was considered, involved staff, leadership and student’s voice and is visible through the appointment of six Middle School Heads of House to complement the current Heads of House, who moved to be Senior School focused. These leaders across both schools are responsible for building house spirit within their cohort and exploring ways to strengthen the house system across the College. Our first event, House Swimming, was well attended with over 900 students, and when you add staff and parent spectators, that was a pretty packed pool deck. Mr Ellis speaks to the swimming carnival later in the Buzz. In preparation for this change, two additional trophies will be added to our House awards. The Thomas Stockdale trophy (Senior School) and the Bunjil Trophy (Middle School) will lead to the Stan Payne Cup, our overall House trophy. We look forward to bringing you further updates on this exciting development.
