The seven pillars As the beauty industry’s premier resource for both professional and personal wellness, our goal is to serve the industry through the following seven pillars: Self-care: The actions to develop, protect, maintain and improve one’s health and wellbeing. This includes making beneficial choices, establishing priorities, personal discipline and mindfulness. Nutrition: Using food as medicine to provide the body with the proper nutrients for proper function, energy and a life full of ease. Movement: Creating a body that feels good and moves with ease for a lasting professional career, through exercise, rest and sleep and ergonomic awareness. Financial: Understanding and employing financial intelligence both professionally and personally to meet life-long goals. Intellectual: Cultivating creativity, insight and wisdom to achieve goals and give back to others. Environmental: Caring for the environment and earth, being aware of the ingredients we use to limit toxins and promote safety both in and out of the salon. Social: Promoting a sense of belonging and creating support systems with peers, friends and family. Cultivating relationships, harmony and community for the greater good.
The BIWC provides:
Leadership, training and resources that encourage and support beauty professionals in living their best lives.
Educational seminars for manufacturers, distributors, salons, schools and individuals to develop knowledge and acumen around professional and personal wellness.
Advocating for and endorsing products, services & innovations which adhere to BPWC benchmarks.
