Shillingford Bridge Hotel hosted our wedding in December and I couldn't recommend them highly enough! Planning the wedding in 6 months was difficult but they did everything to make it easier recommending incredible local suppliers and taking all the stress out of last minute changes. We had a few drop out last minute and a few last minute additions and they were so understanding and accommodating! The day ran amazingly and was so well organised by the hotel manager and the staff were all so helpful and friendly on the day! The food was amazing and everything seemed tailored to our preferences. Shillingford Bridge Hotel is perfectly situated between Oxford and Henley, on one of the most picturesque stretches of the River Thames, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. The hotel boasts 40 comfortable bedrooms, including Four Poster rooms or Suites for those special events and nights away. We offer a range of packages that can be personalised to your requirements. Our experienced & dedicated events team that will be by your side whilst planning your wedding, right through from the initial meeting to the end of your very special day. We hold all weddings in our Riverview Restaurant with panoramic views over the river and the hotel grounds.


The Wedding Breakfast is an essential part of your day You can choose from a range of delicious menus or create bespoke menus built around your favourite dishes and personal taste. Please speak to our events team and Head Chef who are more than happy to help you every step of the way. If your guests have any special dietary requirements, we can assist in creating alternative dishes for them.

STAYING THE NIGHT We have 40 stylish bedrooms to accommodate you and your guests. As well as your complimentary Honeymoon suite, all of our packages come with preferential rates on accommodation for your friends & family. Room price start from £89 Bed & Breakfast double occupancy.




FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Do you cater for same sex weddings? Absolutely! We welcome all couples and are honoured to be part of your special day, regardless of gender. Please note that our brochure uses traditional terms like “Bride” & “Groom” only as a shorthand for the partners getting married. We respect and support diversity of all relationships and do not discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity. Your wedding co-ordinator will be happy to discuss your preferences and terminology to be used on your big day, so that everything is as perfect as you imagined.

Can we bring our own drinks? We have a fully functioning bar & can cater for all requirements, however, should you wish to bring your own champagne for example, there will be a corkage charge payable. For more information, please contact your wedding coordinator.

Do you allow fireworks & confetti at the venue? Unfortunately for safety reasons we do not allow firework displays at our venue. Confetti is allowed outside as long as it is the biodegradable.

Dogs The hotel is dog friendly and dogs are welcome in the Bar area of the hotel as well as on the hotels’ grounds. Should you wish to bring a dog, please contact the Wedding Co-ordinator who will assist you with the planning.

Can we bring our own DJ and Entertainment?

What are your cancellation policies/ charges?

We can supply our own resident DJ, however if you would prefer to arrange your own entertainment, this is also acceptable subject to public liability insurance and electrical appliance safety testing certification.

With the best intentions in the world, sometimes things go wrong, and you may need to cancel your wedding. The venue has cancellation policies in place that are both fair & designed to protect both parties in the event of a cancellation, however we would always advise you to take out wedding insurance.

Do you offer wedding menu tasting? Absolutely. We would not leave something as important as the menu to chance. We can arrange a menu tasting for the Bride & Groom, which is included in all package prices. Should you wish to invite more people & really make an event of it, we can arrange a formal tasting for up to 30 people. The charges for this would be dependent on your chosen package starting from £15 per head.

How much is the initial deposit & when will final payment be required? We can hold a date for a maximum of 1 week free of charge. After this you will need to pay a £500 deposit to secure the venue while the initial plans are drawn up. For more information please see Terms & Conditions.
