Regina Nieke PROYECTO / PROJECT THE FIGURATIVE ELEMENT ”La verdadera e interesante vida de un ser humano se desarrolla en la clandestinidad, como si estuviera bajo el velo de la noche... Anton Pawlowitsch Tschechow, 1860-1904 En la belleza del intenso colorido de las imágenes de Regina Nieke, eternas contradicciones, los conflictos y los deseos del hombre se encuentran ocultos. Sus figuras parecen estar vivas, como si su movimiento fuese capturado en una instantánea. El movimiento es expresado mediante el estilo característico de Regina Nieke, con una variedad de técnicas pictóricas, veladuras y pinturas pastosas, utilizando diferentes herramientas como escurridores, espátulas y botes de spray. La vivacidad de las pinturas priva al elemento figurativo retratado en su soledad. Un catálogo publicado por KERBER Verlag acompaña al proyecto. “El elemento figurativo“ es una extensa monografía sobre el trabajo de los últimos años de Regina Nieke (2009-15). Her figures appear to be alive, as if their motion is caught within a momentary snapshot. The movements are expressed using Regina Nieke’s characteristic style, with a variety of painting techniques, glazed and pastose paint application, and the addition of different tools such as squeegees, spatulas and spray cans. The liveliness of the paintings deprives the portrayed figurative element of its loneliness. A catalogue launched by KERBER Verlag accompanies the project. “The Figurative Element” is an extensive monograph on Regina Nieke’s work of recent years (2009-15).
