Felox ha explorado las diversas disciplinas artísticas, llegando finalmente a la escultura y descubriendo en ésta la técnica perfecta para desarrollar sus inquietudes plásticas y conceptuales. Su trabajo busca llegar a un concepto a través de los objetos, donde la tridimensionalidad le permite reflexionar sobre aquellas ideas que ocupan sus pensamientos. Comenzó como un pintor y luego derivó hacia la escultura y el ensamblaje, logrando sorprendentes efectos mediante la yuxtaposición de objetos. En su obra juegan texturas, estilos y colores de manera provocativa. Los materiales de sus piezas abarcan una amplia gama, trabajando desde vidrio, telas, muebles, madera y plumas. En un atrayente equilibrio de imágenes icónicas de diversas religiones, el artista entrega a cada pieza un aura de espiritualidad para hablar de lo eterno a partir de las fuerzas de un mundo físico.

Felox has explored diverse artistic techniques, finally exploring sculpture and discovering in it the perfect technique to develop his plastic and conceptual concerns. His artworks look for a concept through objects, where three-dimensionality allows him to reflect about the ideas that occupy his thoughts. He began as a painter and then he arrived to sculpture and assembly, achieving surprising effects through the juxtaposition of objects. In his work, textures, styles, and colors play a provocative game. The wide variety of materials he uses in his artworks includes glass, fabric, furniture, wood, and feathers. In an attractive balance of iconic images from diverse religions, the artist gives each piece a spirituality aura to talk about the eternal from the forces of a physical world.
www.feloxs.blogspot.com 1965. El vínculo de Felox con las artes viene desde temprana edad. Esta inclinación lo llevó a iniciar estudios en el instituto de Bellas Artes con apenas doce años. Comenzó trabajando la pintura para después explorar la escultura y fotografía, y luego con el tiempo evolucionó hacia la escultura en busca de un concepto a través de los objetos. Continuó su formación en el taller del Maestro Leo Vid Silva en Bogotá y en la academia de Escultura Sócrates en Medellín. Ha participado en más de sesenta exposiciones entre individuales, colectivas y ferias. En Colombia, Panamá, República Dominicana, Estados Unidos, Italia y China. Su trabajo ha ganado premios internacionales como Manifest Creative Research Gallery - INPA 4 y Chelsea International Fine Art Competition - Agora Gallery.
1965. Felox’s link with arts comes from when he was a child. This tendency carried him to begin his studies at the Institute of Fine Arts when he was barely twelve years old. He began working with painting and after, he explored sculpture and photography. Then, with the pass of time, he evolved to a sculpture that looks for a concept through objects. He continued his training in the studio of Master Leo Vid Silva in Bogotá, and in the Sculpture Academy Socrates in Medellín. He has participated in more than sixty exhibitions among individuals, collectives, and art fairs in Colombia, Panamá, Dominican Republic, United States, Italy, and China. His artworks have won international prizes as the Manifest Creative Research Gallery –INPA 4 and Chelsea International Fine Art Competition– Agora Gallery.
