15th Anniversary 2024 Indiana Green Invitational at Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts
July 26 - September 6, 2024
Fond du Lac, Wisconsin
On Friday, July 26th, Thelma Sadoff Center for the Arts (THELMA) hosted the opening of the 15th Anniversary 2024 Indiana Green Invitational. The reception brought artists from across Wisconsin to Fond du Lac. The opening was more than I imagined. The energy and excitement I observed that night was the same energy and excitement I experienced in 2010 in Sheboygan. The evening felt more like a reunion amongst artists and friends. Watching the artists’ careers thrive has been such a pleasure. Indiana Green is more than an exhibition, it is about nurturing professional relationships, building art community, and celebrating the visual arts.
I never imagined Indiana Green would turn 15 in 2024. It has been quite the journey. What was supposed to be a one-time exhibition gradually grew into an annual exhibition gaining the interest of Wisconsin contemporary artists. Now that Artdose has expanded into Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, and Minnesota, I wonder what this exhibition will grow into.
As I get older, I begin to think that perhaps it is time to welcome a new perspective and fresh ideas that will continue to guide the Indiana Green Invitational into the future.
A big thanks to Shannon Kupfer, Executive Director/curator, the THELMA staff, and Pat Ryan.

Indiana Green Invitational
Indiana Green Invitational is an annual group exhibition featuring 2-D and 3-D works by artists living and working in the Midwest. What was supposed to be a one-year exhibition (2010) gradually grew into an annual exhibition gaining the attention of artists in Wisconsin. Since 2017, Indiana Green Invitational has traveled throughout Wisconsin featuring a new roster of artists annually introducing a body of work by artists working across diverse media and genres. This exhibition features significant contemporary works being created in today’s art landscape. In 2023, Indiana Green Invitational expanded to include artists from Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, and Minnesota to reflect the magazine’s trajectory. To date, it has featured 93 artists. Curated by Artdose Magazine.
