La barquette Lola T70 Mk II que nous présentons a été livrée neuve le 3 juin 1966 chez John Mecom, distributeur de Lola Cars aux ÉtatsUnis, qui l'a ensuite vendue à Robert "Bobby" Brown, pilote privé habitué des championnats américains. Le 18 septembre 1966, Brown engage la voiture à la deuxième manche du championnat Can-Am, sur le circuit de Bridgehampton. Portant le numéro 00, Il parvient à signer le 2e temps aux qualifications et, à l'issue de la course, termine en 13e position. Une semaine plus tard, il est sur le circuit de Mosport pour la troisième épreuve du championnat et passe la ligne d'arrivée à la 8e place, très belle performance pour un pilote indépendant. A l'époque, les courses accueillent en effet des pointures comme John Surtees (champion Can-Am 1966), Bruce McLaren, Chris Amon, Dan Gurney, Phil Hill ou Mark Donohue. 200

Après sa brève carrière, ou un début d’incendie l’avait endommagée, elle fut remisée et vendue à Lilo Zicron, de Toluca Lake Historics, qui l'a complètement remise en état dans sa configuration d'origine. Depuis, elle a participé à plusieurs courses historiques en 2009 et 2010 (Laguna Seca, Phoenix, Daytona, Road Atlanta, Willow Springs, Chicago, Road America notamment), comme en atteste son log-book. A la course de Daytona, elle a terminé 3e au classement général et 1ère de sa catégorie. Aujourd'hui, la voiture est équipée d'un moteur Chevrolet 350 ci (5 932 cm3), d'une boîte Hewland LG 500 Mk I / 72 d'origine à cinq rapports, de quatre carburateurs Weber 48 Inglese sur une pipe d'admission Brandford Induction (spéciale Can-Am), d'un compte tour Moroso, d'instruments Smiths et de rétroviseurs Raydot convexes.
