PULBERE Painting reveals and communicates itself fundamentally by means of metaphysical and meta-narrative contents. What it represents or where it belongs conceptually or stylistically are questions peripheral to its intrinsic value or quality. My works refer to a moment arrested in time, a privileged, personal, and private instant whose elements pertaining to the figurative and physical dimension – surreptitiously give away a psychological dimension.

A N TO N I U PAINTING, ART IN GENERAL, SUGGESTS AN EXPRESSIVE INTERPRETATION OF THE WORLD AND OF SOCIAL LIFE, RELEASING IT FROM THE SOLITUDE OF THE STUDIO, CREATING A NEW REALITY, WITH MULTIPLE CREATIVE MEANINGS. SUCCESSIVELY, WE DISCOVER THROUGH THE WORK OF ART, MEANINGS AND AESTHETIC VALUES THAT MAKE US REEVALUATE AND RECONSIDER IT THROUGH THE PRISM OF CONTEMPORANEITY.

SERBAN You look into the air and the water to find out how many faces they were or weren’t able to mirror. You look for a concentric charm, the coolness of water, for the light more than for the darkness looming over the waters, for the inflexion of the waves that will be filling the sky and the abyss. The earth, the water and the air vibrate as a melting pot of light and darkness. From time to time we find the shadow hiding in forgetfulness, settling into an enlightened sleep. Beings can be seen through the clear water of the day. A place that is alive. Water, a liquid flame that ties the banks together.
